God does not judge us by the results of our efforts during this life, but by the results of Christ's efforts 2000 years ago. And by this, we are all justified before God. (RipleysBelieveItOrNot!)

I know it was a little late to come in on this, but Skye missed a golden opportunity here and it might be because he’s protecting his own $ machine. Just “reduce your authority given to the industrial complex?“ if something dilutes and distorts Christianity it’s not a sector of Christianity, it is an enemy. I say throw all you have behind your local church, it’s missionaries, and it’s mission to the community and region and have nothing to do with these machines

How funny this was 7 years ago. That’s about how long I’ve been struggling to pin down this very concern (which is odd because that 7 years include my credentialing process in my denomination and almost my whole seminary journey).

It's true! Often it seems there's not a lot of deep theological teaching/learning going on. People could attend for 20 years, still be so lost, having learned hardly anything, just attending as a social gathering, paying tithes, enjoying the band, snacks, beverages, etc., but not being spiritually fed, not growing their own close relationship with God.

So, we go back to being the way the church was pre-1960? I thought you started the video by saying people stopped going to that type of church? Near the end, you mention a study that states people went to church "to be close to God". I think that hints at the root cause. As a believer, you are the temple of God! And the church is not a building and therefore you will not find God in a building! He lives in the heart of the believer. That is where you find him. What is the church then, if its not a building? The church is fellow believers. Do you want to experience the power of God? Repent, turn to Jesus. Read the Bible and do what it says. You will experience first hand what the power of God can do in your life. And yes, the Bible does tell you to get together with fellow believers (the church) and doing that in a building makes a lot of sense just don't get the two confused.

Is Jesus the treasure that WE sell all in order to possess Him? Or did Jesus view US as the treasure that HE sold all HE had in order to possess us?

hmmm what about also helping them turn to community with one-another, and truly live out the one-another passages? I feel churches shouldn't JUST be focused on helping us connect with God, but truly connect with one another (" they will know you are disciples by your love for one another..."

I have messed up with God. I don't know how I can return to God. I blashemed the Holy Spirit. I'm not saved. I'm going to hell. I don't know what to do. I'm not living in my true purpose. How can I return to Him? I want to be saved.

I have seen God. And what i learned is that sin can not be in his presence. It flees like darkness flees a bright light. The experience of having sin leave you fills you with a profound respect. So much so, that you fall on your face out of respect. Getting rid of sin is more valuable than eternal life, more valuable than a throne set to rule the entire world. I would trade anything i currently have, everything i have, for just one more minute in his presence. So yes, he is a means to an end, he is the end, he is everything that matters. The only one who matters. My value is an ancient chinese clay coin with a hole in the center, His value is a gold nugget the size Pluto's orbit.

You care nothing for the animals who are also God's children in different bodies.... you drag 150 billions of them crying for mercy to be slaughtered so you can satisfy your lusty tongues for ten minutes...is that human kind... you will now say God gave you dominion.... Dom means the lord/King over... but no king kills his subjects he taxes them only and lives in harmony with them. In biblical times it was necessary to eat meat as crops were susceptible to many diseases but in this Age it's UNNECCESARY... where in the Bible does It say to open slaughterhouses and empty the oceans of All Life.... Thou shalt not kill Isaiah 66.3 ... he that slaughters an ox is as if he killed a man
