The skill of writing to write a whole episode focusing on a character that was a villain in season 1 and now in season 2 it's a bit more ambiguous how he would be classified but we don't feature any of the other protagonists at all (this is the only episode that doesn't have Aang, Katara, or Sokka, and the only episode after the debut of Toph that she is not in) and yet it is still on many lists of best episodes of the series.

The Boulder is supposed to be a parody of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and originally they wanted him to voice him but there was a scheduling conflict, so instead they got another big name wrestler named Mick Foley who was also a good friend of Dwayne Johnson to do the voice instead.

It was stated in jest once so not necessarily canon but the creators said that Suki once dated the foaming mouth guy...and she regretted it. Also his freakout screams were done by one of them.

The romance is my favorite part of this series ngl. Not to undermine the rest of the show, I'm just a sucker for their relationship

The transitions and cliffhanger endings are one of the most amazing and most lethal parts of the show. They kill us all. I think what drew me in the most were the relationships. They're real, and most are messy, jagged, and difficult. Romantic and Platonic, both have their flaws created by the people included having real shortcomings and personal issues. Silco is afraid to love after losing so much with those he did. Jinx craves love, it's all she's ever really wanted. Vi feels unworthy of giving or receiving love, she's a protector and a failed one at that. All these characters have internalized beliefs that require them to sit down, look each other in the eye and be HONEST with themselves and each other to work though. Understanding their perspectives and seeing how close they are to true connections makes so many small moments of the show both rays of joyous sunshine or crashing waves of tears.

That cliffhanger is probably the scariest ive seen in any media. Just wild how scared you get when you know how dangerous and unhinged Jinx is and you fall for Cait's character. Like F * C K NO! She was WAITING for her to finish showering. Christ.

19:33 when you say you feel conflicted, you can only imagine how Jayce must be feeling like. I agree he is privileged. I also think he's naive and good hearted, which is a dangerous combination when dealing with manipulative people like the council. I believe every action he's taken so far (even though some of them might've been controversial), has been taken with good intentions in mind. So yeah, Jayce is a complex character, maybe the most complex due to how important his every decisions' consequences are and that's why I cut him some slack

Ekko is my favorite character, man is a kind-hearted badass which is always a soft spot for me. Jinx is right there with him though. Both of their scenes are the best in the series.

The Viktor running scene gets me every time. Someone mentioned if that was the first time Viktor has ever experienced that and it makes the scene hit even harder for me. Truly one of the most memorable scenes for me.

The thing that gets me about he scene where Viktor runs along the dock is that as a child he wasn't able to catch the boat because he was crippled. Now he's running and overtaking the boats in the background.
