We have an Arctic White 2023 3LT HTC non Z51, front lift, mag ride,performance exhaust, red calipers, black exhaust tips, and red/black interior; carbon flash top, nacelles, mirrors, low spoiler, wheels, side blades and ACS composite rock guards. We will never track the car so we don’t need the firmer ride, dusty wheels from the brakes, or the rusty rotors. We have the top down unless it’s raining, we don’t want to lose the trunk space on trips. I would rather spend my time driving instead of cleaning 2 rear windows and an engine bay. We love hearing the exhaust note clearly even with the top up because we can roll our rear window down. Your car is beautiful and it suits your needs, the HTC looks better with the top up or down and is more practical. Great video, thank you.

If you had a piece of glass there, all you would see was the convertible top unless you had the top up, with our HTC the only time the top is up is when it’s raining out

That's how I cruise my 2017 Camaro 2SS with muffler delete. When I hit is just right she pops for about a good 4 seconds. Turns heads every time😅

For $7500 I can get new rims, full cutback exhaust, and intake wirh cash to spare. Hell, that price is approaching supercharger costs.

We will never track it and it’s capable of more performance than we will ever need. Our 2nd Corvette and the best vehicle this 76yo has ever driven. The stock performance exhaust is perfect, loud enough when you want it (95% of the time) and quieter when you don’t.

Any regrets on the regal red? I picked that up and 2 other reds at the store to see for myself. One of the colors matches great with calipers and of course the regal foe the headers.

In my defense its twelve tool boxes in all. 11.5 are full of construction tools like drywall, framing tools saws and nails squares, Simson hardware and fasteners, electrical and pluming/pex tools and much much more. I would say half a box of car tools. 😂 And all my boxes combined is still cheaper than a large Snap-On box.🤣

I have been looking for a nice low mile C8 and I only want a HTC. I have noticed that the bulk of the cars for sale are LT1 with very little options. I'm only looking at LT2 and TL3 cars with Z51, mag ride and front lift.

Naw I love being able to see the engine. Who cares if it takes up space in the trunk. Nobody gets in a Corvette to go on a trip. It’s just not comfortable.

I’m all in for the HTC at my age don’t care to spend the extra time cleaning the engine bay, that and as a C4 Convertible owner the extra storage space the HTC frees up would be Great… also I’m primarily an autocross fan so the low rear spoiler would be excellent

Warning...this is going to be long 😂! After 3 years of having the C8 this is how I feel... I could care less about the storage space anymore...I have a kid now since I posted this video, and a second on the way. To me it looks more exotic and most ppl I have asked feel the same. But I don't even care about that anymore. What matters is getting in the car and being able to just press a button for the top to come down. I know the standard c8 you can stuff the top in the trunk. But really who has time for that. Im so busy with life I just jump in and go! Rain or shine! "and just press a button" But I also drive with the top down like 99% of the time.When it starts raining while I drive I just press the button. When I take the wife out for dinner in the c8 and look over and shes like "Why TF isn't the top down" I press a button and she puts on the sexiest smile ever! That alone is worth it. When I get to the store/restaurant/ whatever, the top is back up before I get in the parking space...I get out and go about my biz without worry. If I cant have the top down I just take another car lol. And many more reasons but i`ll stop for now. I will never buy any sports car without a htc or soft top. The C8 has ruined me in that way... That goes for when I get my z06 and lambo as well.

Hey man whats up! I took your advice and I am spending time with my kid (soon to be two)😆. And also growing my real-estate portfolio with rentals. Me and the wife plan to live in japan 6 months and in oregon the other 6 months so that's the direction we decided on. Also my Z06 allocation will be coming up soon so that's something to look forward to. If I remember correctly didn't you get a Z06? What do you think of it?

@@OwenJamesC8 awesome update from the most fearless car modifier on the planet. Rentals are good for sure, kids are the best congrats on #2. I had my Z06 for 18 months. Kept it at 5 miles on the odometer for 16 months and finally gave up and started driving it. Sold it to a guy in Portland. It is awesome for sure. Honestly though I want an ERAY. That’s the car for the PNW. ITS crazy fast and awd. No brainer. I paid $30k over and lost about $20k on the deal. The market died and they built 6000 Z06. Drop an update video for everybody. You got great energy and no fear. Congrats on everything Owen. Halloween is right around the corner. Looking forward to your display video.

I tried this and the magnets were not strong enough to hold it down tight. They barely had any magnetic hold as the plastic cover and plastic beams were you put the other magnets underneath are too thick for any strong magnetic hold. Waste of time and money!!

So does everything just bolt on top of the existing fender? Do you have to trim part of the stock fender to avoid rubbing issues?

What matters to me is whether or not the convertible has more body flex. That's a major factor when considering a convertible. As for the coupe, keeping the engine bay clean is a pain, so there are pros and cons to both.

We love our 2023 3LT HTC non-Z51, it’s perfect and you are right about hearing the exhaust. We have the top down, unless it’s raining, all of the time. We sent the car looks better top up or down than the coop plus, I don’t have to clean the engine department every time I go out in the car after it rains.

Absolutely for sure at least on paper. I will say The htc is 110% worth it though even if it is .1 or .2 sec slower to 60 and I would never go coupe. I have tested it with both and you hear the engine pops and crackles from the exhaust better with the htc than the standard coupe. I can go into it more if you want to know why.
