I took a huge risk and bought a WRECKED 2019 Jaguar f-type R from Copart auction. It was the cheapest F-Type R I could find.. I was only one of a few bidders and the car didn't even come close to the reserve! I have always wanted Jaguar f-type R and now I have one for better or for worse!

Owen, looks like there's a "C" clip on the end of the spline on that shaft the holds it in place. Check it out...

All I can say is stick at it and once you get to drive that fabulous car all the pain will be forgotten. Well, maybe not All the pain! I’ve just got an F Pace SVR with that engine and it’s stunning!! Loved the F Type but needed more room.

Yes. Oddly the interior of the f Pace SVR is not a swish as the P400 F pace I had before. But the car is so different- not only the extra 150 bhp but of course the chassis is completely different to the other F Paces. It was designed by the guy who designed the new Ford GT40 (his name escapes me ) and it shows!!

Hey Owen, you're doing great! I have to admit I was worried about the direct lateral impact force transferred all the way into the front differential. I'm sure once that is fully inspected the power train itself should be good going back to the transfer box. You truly are a show of self-learning and determination! Your garage set up is really paying off right now. I've heard aluminum welding is quite the trick, if you can't pull off the welds you need for those few points, maybe you can still find help locally before the $4K price of the full brace replacement? Hang in there mate, the AWD F-Type Jag is Ludacris Tech as a whole, it blows my mind what Jag did with this car, few people fully understand the full picture of what is built into this car... reminds me of an old movie... Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

Yea I Think I wont be trying to weld that engine cradle.... took it to one of the best welders around that I know(Over 40 years) and he said dont do it, buy a new one. Too much liability if it breaks and I hit someone.... sooooo....thats going to be expensive .... 😂 Thanks for all the information TheMark38! and support man!

That was some serious work, gonna make sure I don't side swipe my V8 R into a high kerb here in the UK. Must have been done at speed for the force of bending that arm & half shaft! Nice going buddy!
