Hey. The control you need is the RAID button. I can't fully remember off the top of my head but it might be listed as RAID/FOV

Very similar procedure for APKWS but the ranging is mostly guesswork. Planning to do a video for that down the line though.

Thanks! DCS cockpits can be kinda dark so yeah, the struggle is real without it! It does take quite a bit of time in editing so I'm always glad when somebody finds it useful!

You forgot to uncage your standby attitude gyro, and to switch your barometric altimeter to ELECT. It's also wise to align your HMMCS, set your IFF, and to turn off your lights.

Yeah this was one of my first tutorials and I'm not really happy with it any more. I'll come back and redo it eventually but with the KW and the Phantom newly out it'll be a while before i get to it.

everyone keeps saying SOI that screen. It means Sensor Of Interest right? I still don't understand how that works, and I don't see any Axis command I can bind it with on my stick.

SOI is Sensor of Interest, yes. You use the Sensor Select Switch control bind to SOI a screen. Flick it to the left to SOI whatever sensor is on the left screen, or to the right to SOI whatever's on the right screen. It can work slightly differently depending on the plane but that's the basic concept. You'll want to have it bound to some sort of a 4-way hat switch, preferably on the joystick. I normally have it bound to the one that looks like a little castle.

@@GotSpaceGame I think the key to good effects is always 'Less is more.' The horizontal scan lines worked (especially considering the time period of the Phantom) but the RGB stuttering was a little much.

If the drone is set up as a JTAC in the mission editor then it should be possible. Also would work for firing GBUs from non tgp equipped planes like the F5

Above the flap switch where the hydraulics are for the canopy is the lever for closing the canopy as well. Saves having to use the keyboard

As in the programs on the stores page? It's really just a way of quickly aching different sets of weapon parameters. The inertial bombs don't have many settings to play with though so it's not that useful there. I tend to find it now intuitive to just select the stations I want though.

It's one of the defaults. The only RAF skin in the pack... Near the bottom of the list under F for fictional.

I use these a lot with the F16, but I always forget I can also use them on the A10. This mark point trick will come in handy. Will this also work with the Jdam?

That's a part of the IFF symbology with two factor authentication (probably coming from an AWACS datalink?) White is unknown. Green is confirmed friendly. Yellow is suspect, Red is confirmed hostile. If you see a yellow track then depending on the source of the track, either doing an IFF or an NCTR identification should get it to turn red. If it turns green then that's an example of why two factors are required to confirm a target as hostile before shooting at it!

So, what's the benefit of using a JDAM in this scenario when you still have to paint a moving target, why not just use a GBU12 for example?

You get the flexibility to use the bomb like a JDAM if your target is obscured by cloud, and you have the backup inertial guidance in case you lose the laser lock on the target.
