I don't understand what japanese designers were thinking about creating a touring bike without even a small plastic rear rack? How people should mount cases or bags? Even hl 150 for 2500$ has a metal rack in stock. Honda shame on you.

I have a 21 adventure DCT with similar setup as yours, plus swivel foot pegs for more boot support, barkbusters, front mudguard extension to reduce the stone chips on the down tube, quadlock phone holder, tire pressure indicator, but IMO I found the seat very very uncomfortable so at a big expenses changed it to Seat concepts but only a small improvement, they are on to a big winner as you cannot return it after its fitted, I then purchased a Airhawk which isn't perfect but make long haul rides bearable.

I had the pleasure of riding on a 99 900rr as my first bike. I later moved onto a gen 2 hayabusa which i had for 11 years. The hayabusa was more refined and faster but i must admit the 900rr was more fun to ride. better sensation of speed and felt like it had more character

Can you please tell me what model # of Barkbusters handguard mounting kit ( the metal part of the Barkbuster kit) you have on your bike? I see people saying the CB500X 2019+ kit or the 2023 Transalp kits work on this bike, I just don't want to make that gamble and get the wrong ones.

I was very keen to buy the AT. The Problem is the maintenance. 800€ if you don´t need to adjust the valves, only check and around 1100 € with adjustment. That is a big nope for me. What a fucking joke. Shame on you, Honda.

I have a 2023 CB500X....I like it, but I wish 6th gear was taller. Approaching 70mph (110kph) the engine is screaming at almost 6000rpm.

It's a barely a rehashed CB500X. We want the CFMOTO 450 MT(Ibex here in the states) Honda isn't making anything close to that bike.

Done this before, ready to do it again. You are so spot on on the compressors. I have several different ones and none are ever 'correct' but you have to be creative. I do like your attitude, we would have a blast greasing our 'bits', platonically of course.

Why not check storage for helmet space. That is like important thing. If you go to shops, you dont wana be carrying helmet around.

Absolutely agree on the rev counter. I bought this as a learner bike and watched a lot of KZbin learner guides saying “hold revs at 3000” etc etc. I bought a cheap tachometer on Amazon (<£10) which wraps around the spark lead. Really helped me.

Great review as always mate. Bought my CB125R at Dobles. Done 7k now. Taken it camping to Wales, Scotland, Cornwall with full camping gear. This is gonna be my first 'big bike'. Just waiting for the right one now.
