Taking my first solo backpacking trip out there this May. I’m so excited! I’ve been camping out there at the drive-up camp spots but never hiked in to find a campsite. Beautiful area. I live on the complete opposite side of town, but go fishing and hiking out there and around Hardin Ridge or Allen’s Creek often

A very cool video! Informative as well! We want to try this hike with my husband, what is the wildlife situation? Did you ever encountered a bear or do you carry a bear spray with you? Thank you! And keep going!

Probably won't see this but I live in Idaho absolutely LOVE the sawtooth mountains. I have a recommendation for you if you ever make it back out to Idaho to check out the Cramer Lakes. You won't be disappointed. Son and I left a couple days before that fire started.

You’re the man David. Been subbed for like 8 years now and it’s always been consistently good content. You originally inspired me to hike the AT

Nice job as always. We went to yellowstone back in july. Also the tetons. We day hiked that trail you were on to yellowstone river. Great time great weather. Not many misquitos when we went. We camped at canyon campround and did about 8 day hikes in various parts of the park. Backpacking is hard work. Like a shower every night. But we are going to the winds next year and hike to island lake. Enjoy all your videos! Thanks for sharing. Taum sauk and current river is closer by. Come on over for a lovely fall hike! The west is awesome but there is no place like home!

The Red Fish resort was spared by the fire. From what I could find the fire came over the mountain and up to or near the shore of the lake .

The Sawtooths have been on my bucket list since I started backpacking (after seeing your KZbin channel!). Planning next year. Over the last couple of years I have fallen in love with the Rocky Mountains of our friends to the north. David, you’ve got to get to Banff, Jasper, or any of the Canadian Rockies provincial parks while you can! Permit wise it’s difficult, but Mt. Assiniboine Provincial Park in British Columbia may ruin all other future trips for you. North America’s Alps. Check it out!

I have seen a lot of good potential about these new Bronco models, my dad owned an old 2 door Bronco back in the mid 90s, it definitely wouldn't survive a trek like this.

David you did it again!! What an incredible video. I have been down many of these roads to hike and camp while living in Colorado, yet never the intense high clearance 4x4 roads to these passes. That Bronco is an incredible machine and Jeremy's redemption was well earned. The drone shot at 41:46 was heavenly! One of my favorite videos you have ever released, and I very much look forward to the next. Safe Trails!

I can't wait to get my CJ back on the road, something about getting back in the mountains where the trunk slammers can't go makes the obstacles worth it
