Awesome. I have a 216 I welded up a bucket to make one of these a few years ago and never finished, thanks for sharing your design and giving me inspiration to Finnish this project !!

I hope you are still enjoying the loader a year later. I am curious though if you wish you had foot controls to drive the tractor or is this manageable using the hydrostatic speed lever plus the two levers for the loader and then the steering wheel? Also, I am curious if you think you could have made this taller uprights and then shorter pieces going forward so that your bucket could be closer to the front of the tractor? I would need to change the way the cylinders mount but my goal is to get it back for space savings as well as to help manage the load not that yours looks like it’s struggling at all! I wanted to build mine last summer but never happened so relooking at options and your setup is ideal for the smaller machines like your 314 and I have a 314 and closed frame 316 so I’m building for virtually the same machine.

You are using a level when the tractor is setting in a unlevel surface, if you ever do it again I would suggest to level up the tractor frame. Still looks good though.

Could have used electric actuators instead of hydraulic. Would have saved that’s $300 for lines and fittings.

Way too slow and the worm gears strip out. They lift ok but strip lowering any kind of weight. Plus JD 300 series have hydraulics already on board and that looks like what ges using.

OH YEAH......how far from the bottom of the bucket did you put the bracket for the center/curl cylinder..? Being the cylinder is at the certain length anyway, it will probably only have so much relief, but I was curious where the center of the cylinder pin is from the bottom of the bucket. Thanks.

Could you possibly measure the length of your hoses to each cylinder..? It looks like yours are the perfect length, and I'd like to get the lengths right the first time. Thank you.

And just a tip.......when I am working on this thing, I put it up on cinder blocks. It raised it up another 7-8 inches, and was much easier to work on. The tractor won't move forward or back when not running.

When I mounted the H2 hydraulic control box underneath, I used the original hole on the top, but drilled a new one at the bottom. This put the box at a 45 degree angle underneath, and lined up PERFECTLY with the hydraulic lines from the transmission. I didn't even have to tweak anything. They just connected up straight away.

As far as the snap rings around the hydraulic connections up front.......I had to use the 90 degree snap ring pliers. It was a little bit of a pain, but I got them eventually.

@@Deadmoneygarage I did put the back of the bucket 4" forward at the top, just like you suggested. It's turning out really nice.
