I've watched all of the loader videos. I'm very impressed with your work. Like I said on your 1st video, I have a buford bucket built by hosier Pete out of Kentucky. I love my loader too. Thanks again.

Could you possibly measure the length of your hoses to each cylinder..? It looks like yours are the perfect length, and I'd like to get the lengths right the first time. Thank you.

I hope you are still enjoying the loader a year later. I am curious though if you wish you had foot controls to drive the tractor or is this manageable using the hydrostatic speed lever plus the two levers for the loader and then the steering wheel? Also, I am curious if you think you could have made this taller uprights and then shorter pieces going forward so that your bucket could be closer to the front of the tractor? I would need to change the way the cylinders mount but my goal is to get it back for space savings as well as to help manage the load not that yours looks like it’s struggling at all! I wanted to build mine last summer but never happened so relooking at options and your setup is ideal for the smaller machines like your 314 and I have a 314 and closed frame 316 so I’m building for virtually the same machine.

Hi Justin. Is it ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to plumb in an "on/off" switch/valve for the rock cylinder..? Thank you for your video.

Did you use the on board hydraulics or did you add an additional pump? Thanks and great job on the build.
@Deadmoneygarage

I used the on board hydraulics . Just shimmed the relief valve to give it a little more pressure. Thanks for watching.
@jackboot5321

OH YEAH......how far from the bottom of the bucket did you put the bracket for the center/curl cylinder..? Being the cylinder is at the certain length anyway, it will probably only have so much relief, but I was curious where the center of the cylinder pin is from the bottom of the bucket. Thanks.

L O L ... Throughout this build , I've been wondering at what point you were gonna do something about the single spool valve on the 314 ... This answered my question ... Just have to watch that one ... Thanks ...

You used the term "shimmed the relief valve to give it more pressure". How do you "shim" it..? Thanks for the video. I'm currently building this unit for my 314.
@Deadmoneygarage

I would love to see that build ,just give yourself more curl on the bucket than I did. Online shims are available for the main relief valve. Just be careful to not go too much .

@@Deadmoneygarage I did put the back of the bucket 4" forward at the top, just like you suggested. It's turning out really nice. Thank you for your videos, as other than putting the bucket width at 40", I followed your build exactly. I'm just getting the brackets for the cylinders welded on soon, mounting them, and she should be ready for paint. I'm anxious..!

Great job. what are the size of your posts/arms, are they like 2x2x3/16 thick or like 3x3x1/4 inch thick. I built a regular loader for a Wheel Horse tractor using electric actuators, works great but very slow. I brought a John Deere 318 because of the power steering and front hydraulics, now I need a loader on it.
@Deadmoneygarage

I wish mine was power steering. I think it’s 2x2x1/8

@@Deadmoneygarage Thanks for the reply.. I'm planning on 2x2x3/16th that I got from a scrap yard. I just need to look at your videos more for cylinders placement.
@Deadmoneygarage
@Deadmoneygarage 2 жыл бұрын
I think that would be fine. If at all possible I would have my hydraulic cylinders and lines made before. I started the build so you could actuate everything before you weld it permanently. (I didn’t and had to fight an over Centered cylinder for the bucket after everything was painted)I would add more of a slant on the back of the bucket to give you more curl when bucket is at ground level.

I finally got mine built. I got lucky while in a scrap yard looking for metal I found enough bolts of the right size to build mine. That save me a good bit of money. I have around 850 dollars in mine.

Could have used electric actuators instead of hydraulic. Would have saved that’s $300 for lines and fittings.

Way too slow and the worm gears strip out. They lift ok but strip lowering any kind of weight. Plus JD 300 series have hydraulics already on board and that looks like what ges using.
