So I installed mines sound works& everything but the subs in my doors pop& you can hear a buzzing sound the entire time
@TheElectronMan
@TheElectronMan 8 сағат бұрын
Do you have subs in your doors? Are they aftermarket? Also, does your vehicle have the Sync system? If so, you'll need to disable the factory amp, as most aftermarket systems I’ve seen don’t support it. My vehicle had the standard audio system, so everything plugged in without any issues. However, if you have the Sync premium system, it’s not supported-essentially, you'd be sending speaker-level output into low-level RCA inputs.

@theelectronman I have the sync system with factory sub& amp in the door. Now that being said you said sync is being the reason I’m hearing that buzzing. If I get an aftermarket amp& subs would that possibly fix it?
@TheElectronMan
@TheElectronMan 6 сағат бұрын
@@johnathonsimon1668 Yes it has RCA outs so you can run an amp possibly even the factory one. I have heard of it done but the easy way would just to get an amp and connect to the RCA outs of the new deck and connect your speakers to that new amp.

I have a Diamond X300A. It's 10ft. tall. Its base is just above the gutter line on a mast. I can open 40 repeaters from my QTH and hear 4 others. The most distant repeater that I can open is 91.8 miles away with 50 watts. I'm not even using VHF coax, but RG8X (25ft.). AMAZING distance for an omnidirectional vertical.

did you print these with PLA, PETG or???? I think I heard you say PLA. I'm interested to see how you mounted your rotor. I have teh Hygain AR-500 (basically the same as yours) and am looking for a way to get it on the inside of the tower instead of putting everything up on the outside where it is less stable.
@TheElectronMan
@TheElectronMan 11 күн бұрын
I used PLA because it should hold up well for my application. I made the wall thickness about 10 layers, roughly 2mm, to ensure the part is very sturdy. For my setup, the rotor plate is just a flat piece cut to fit inside the tower. I completely agree that the rotor should be mounted inside, with a top section of the tower bearing the side load. This way, the rotor doesn't experience any significant lateral pressure. With this setup, you can use a relatively large antenna with this type of rotor since it isn’t subjected to heavy loading.

@TheElectronMan
@TheElectronMan 17 күн бұрын
@michaelmuldoon441 it should be fine the Cobra will not pull that much maybe 2amps on SSB and the RM on max pulls a little less than 30 amps at worse on max it might drop a few watts which is no going to hurt anything. Personally, I like 3 on th RM, which is around 200 watts and like 20 amps.

I’ve found at least a dozen plugs, but not the one I need. I guess I’m going to have to salvage one from a power brick-I’ve got a whole box of various ones, so I’m hoping one of them will fit. Power isn’t an issue; I can use my 30-amp variable power supply. I just need the right plug.

I paid a $1.25 per unit (bought a total of three) at the Dollar Tree. So if the white master has something in it- the four green outlets work?
@TheElectronMan
@TheElectronMan 25 күн бұрын
Yes, exactly. When you turn off that specific item on the master, the others will also turn off. If you want the others to stay on all the time, I suggest plugging in something that is on all time like a fan or light to keep the circuit active. This power strip was designed for something like an entertainment center, so when you turn off the TV, all the other equipment powers down as well. The other two sockets function like a regular power strip.
