I love the Redwing 877 if I could skip the break in period. Thorogood has little to no break in. So. I wear my 877 everywhere except work. Work I wear my Thorogoods.

So these boots would not be ideal for logging?

Have you tested them by stepping in dog shit and did they clean easy?

USA made high quality is my go to but Ariat square toe Workhogs for whatever reason are my favorites. They just have the nitch in comfort and style that I love.

Boots of all types are dependent on the trade and options of the wearer. I watch a ton of boot reviews and have a huge collection of every type imaginable. I'm a collector and well.. just love boots. Wesco, Whites etc etc. Somebody STOP me.

They are good boots thorogood redwing wolverine no matter price difference in my opinion they all last same amount of time.

I have had a pair of these for around 2 years now. I have redwing and other brands as well but I seem to come back to these the most. I will say that they killed my feet for about 3 weeks to break them in but now they're great

ok so i’ve noticed my redwings also wear on a angle. i’ve seen a lot of other peoples wear on an angle too, makes you stand a little funny too. that cannot be good for your back

went to try these on at boot barn and i was blown away at how comfortable they were. just debating now on the color I want and whether I want the wide or the regular fit Would you happen to know if the regular fit ones would stretch a little? I like them tight but they are just a little too tight on the top

Love my 3800s but that gortex effed my feet up. Gotta let em breath and thats why my 4201s. Only wear my 3800s in the winter now.

For sweaty feet wear Darn Tough Merino Wool socks. They have thinner ones, that will stick wick away moisture and keep your feet feeling dry all day. It's all I wear and I've converted several coworkers.

Sounds like you should order a pair of American hand made Nick Boots. That way you can custom order a pair Moc boots any arch support, leather, color, welt sole, heritage sole, hardware, ect. It may cost $500-600 but you take care if them they last you decades. They sell them size 3-15 widths from B-FF. I feel you about the dog my English Mastiff as a young puppy ate my $400 boots. Luckily my high school English teacher & her husband retired from teaching when her father in-law passed & left them his shoe repair shop. She fixed them for price of leather.

Danner used to make the best boot. 30 years later we are now trying to find the best boot...but its long gone now. old school Danners are long gone. USA quality has declined but still excels over any China made garbage.
