We love you man, congrats on the family. Try and make time to skate. Lesson learned in my life, i didn't make any time for myself and health through 21 years for work and family. It wasn't healthy. Ive got the exact same knox re issue... love it... love it even more now that i redrilled the wheelbase to 14.75... epic for bowls. 99a double lock bones. Was looking at the max evans although looks very similar to the knox... knox is a tiny bit wider... have you ridden the max in the bowl? Interested to hear your thoughts.

Wow that 16.5 inch wheelbase looks crazy! I know John's a big fella but a full extra inch over the standard is wild, and it makes the board control so differently. Need to get a reissue or a modern Black Label clone with that same wheelbase.

I love my Lucero! Anything black label does, well most anything anyway is pure gold in my opinion. Right now I'm really really enjoying the heroin egg, the 9.5 razor. It feels perfect! 🛹🐀

Hey man! Awesome!!! I just found your channel! subbed!!! i just bought the Lucero " van man" great shape and have it at the 15" wheelbase for bowls and transition. Am intrigued on this board as i love the nose and shape! ahhhhhh the nostalgia!!! 14.25 wb on this... You think it will be a bit squirrely on transition, or the width will make up for it... I don’t think there no need to put 159 on there every one skate 8.5 truck nowadays witch is basically the 80s I would try 149 with big wheels I think Natas switch down to 149 in one of his skate parts

I actually really love my nano cubics way more than I thought I would. They're nice and light and the formula is really rad if you go with the 97a. It would be amazing if they did the Nano cubic size and shape but with the X formula. Depending on what you're skating I recommend the X formula for parks and the Nano cubics or the Nano rats for street 🛹🐀

The Knox re issue….you find the wheelbase preferable for bowl vs a larger one (like 15ish like most re issue decks?) ….and why? I’m trying to find my sweet spot at the moment and would be interested to hear why you choose a smaller wb.

That's a great question, I know I should be going for a larger wheelbase but I'm a shorter guy, Short legs etc. I feel really comfortable on anything 14.5 or under. I just have more control that way 🛹🐀

i have a new deal siamese re issue thats a 9.5. 169 titaniums , dragons 58mm , bronson ceramics, creature rails, and real 5 ply risers. its a great board and its a lot like your black label
