My grandmother made those religiously. They were always in the her fridge and always on the table at EVERY family or Holiday Celebration.. Thought my family would describe them as absolutely Delicious! I'm the odd ball I suppose because I never liked them. But guess who's in charge of bringing the pickled eggs to all the family events??

Why are you cutting the comb out and putting it in a new frame? Was there something wrong with the wood?

Do a trial run before making a video, ie...have your onions cut, have spices measured, have your beets out of the can, have your brine properly measured,❤ the outcome, but something so simple should not be so time consuming only to be partly done. Just saying.....

Hello Sir, I never saw you before, BUT we always prefer small eggs for pickling.... there are several ways BUT I prefer red beet pickled eggs. our recipe is from the Amish in Eastern Pa. we use a recipe of 1 cup, 1 cup, 1 cup of sugar water and Apple cider vinegar We use No spices as I don't like them. And we always use Red beets from our garden and the eggs get really dark as I can My own beets skin them and never rinse as the juice is thus darker We often use onion in the juice as we like them on salads or sandwiches.... Great video!!!

I noticed that you guys haven't posted in two years, though, are you okay? And is that a Georgian accent? G-d bless and shalom from Pine Log Mountain, GA 🤍🙏🕊

What are the measurements of the vinegar and beet juice? I’ve seen so many recipes that add cloves, pickling spice, onions, even garlic, but I really just want a simple recipe. I think what you mentioned is exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you!

@@ellengrace4609 you're welcome. I do add the dozen whole cloves as well. You don't have to be exact with any of the ingredients, really. For the beet juice, it's just what in the can of sliced beets. It's a cup, give or take.

Never put a cold egg into really warm water. You will have an egg explosion, lol I start off with cold water slowly bring them up to boil, then lower the heat so that they still boil but not a hard boil, this way they don't crack... we cook our eggs for 15 to 20 min.
@Saritaseekingtruth2 жыл бұрын
Most of my family make these picked eggs, but I don't put onion in mine, but I'm going to next time, now I will say I've never known anyone to bring the beet, vinegar juice to boil, we all just put it all in a jar, stick it in the fridge and let them sit for about 4 days

Our hives came from thebeeshop.com and are Drebbieville Hives. We spent around 5 thousand for everything I believe? We added a few hives every year instead of all at once.

Hi Belena! Sorry this has taken so long to respond to, but anyway his response his just below yours, so just click his name! I believe the cost was about $5000 total with everything but that was 2020 lumber prices!

A couple of things I forgot to put in the video...We decided to paint the yellow and white in order to kind of match our Bee House. Also, I couldn't find any reasonably priced High Density Polyethylene sheets like those @CarolinaCoops uses, so I purchased a gallon can of Flex Seal White and painted that on the floor and 12 inches up the walls of my Hen House before adding the Hemp Bedding and I have to say I was very happy with the results!
