Ironically the grams did live longer than she thought she would because she was nosey and had to make sure everyone stayed saddity. Because how was she a full adult during the Civil War and still alive in the 1940s?
@PapayaSociety27 күн бұрын
lol I was wondering the same thing but when we first meet Gram and her daughter it’s 1905. The daughter was 25 years old, so she was born in 1880, which means Gram was probably born during the civil war (1861-1865). So in the 1940s/1950s Gram could reasonably be in her 80s/90s. She was a child during the civil war. They just made her look so dusty from beginning to end 😂

Thank you sooo much for posting these Danielle Steele movies!!! We watched these when they were TV movies and recorded them on VHS tapes. But my Dad threw them out when we moved and I wished we still had them to send for transfer to a dvd. I was so excited when I found your channel with so many of the movies!!!!

There’s no way you thought THIS miniseries was based off of a novel from Danielle Steel 🙄😒 She’s never written about black characters. The Wedding is based off of the novel of the same name by Dorothy West.

Shelby's superficial family and that deceitful Lute, tried to convince her that race and status alone, should play a major factor in her overall decision to marry Mead. Luckily, she saw through their erroneous belief system and married the man she truly loved.

What I really wanted to know was, was she really interested in him or did she just wanted to get out of the house? And second why wasn't an engagement ring right along with that letter and money sense he was proposing marriage?
@sierrac41573 жыл бұрын
I think she cared for him. But wasn't in love with him.
@beyondlondon86003 жыл бұрын
@@sierrac4157 agreed but the deeply racist environment she grew up in was what prevented her from being in love and the shame made her feel depressed. She was also plain and no men interested so she made a practical decision to run away with someone who was successful and loved her BUT I think in a different society she would have fallen in love in return and been happy. She cared and felt a sexual attraction pre marriage but the reality melted that away and left her bedridden. Horrid.
@beyondlondon86003 жыл бұрын
@@sierrac4157 and notice that Corinne's mother dies but the grandmother (the physical embodiment of racism) has prevailed across the decades and is still living amongst the family.

Meed is such a great guy.Shelby over reacts on a lot of situations or over dramatizes things to much. Loat or whatever his name is; is only infatuated with her looks and the idea of her (A FANTASY)he needs to get his life together;3 daughters and is still married. Just sad 😔
