I love the RV-12…it’s a really friendly little airplane to fly. A few considerations for those transitioning from other aircraft. First of all, taxiing and ground handling is a little wonky with the differential braking. It’s going to take a few flights to not feel like a moron while taxiing. Same goes for taking off. Sometimes it requires a little right braking below 30kt on the takeoff roll. Under 30kt, the rudder just has no authority and there are times when, completely independent of any crosswind, it just NEEDS some braking. Other than that, it’s all about energy management in the pattern. Prepare to float for a while if you come in even a few knots quick and when it’s time to pull power, you gotta pull that power…even 100 RPM makes a difference above the runway. They’re great airplanes though…I’ve spent many a happy hour putting around the New England coast in the RV-12is 👍

There is a video out there saying how bad the 177 is. Was it the 150 HP engine that damaged its reputation?

In the KZbin world, everybody tries to outdo everybody. I have noticed that no one even tries to outdo you. You should be very proud of that. I like Flying with Rich; he does a great job. Skywagon University also does a very good job of teaching people. But you still are heads above. You have done a GREAT job on two of my favorite Cessnas. I look forward to the day you do a 310R and a 421C. I have a question for you on the 177RG. Since it has a Laminar Flow wing, do you think wing smoothing would improve performance? I am enclosing a link to a wing-smoothing video on a Piper in case you are unfamiliar with the process. Thanks in advance kzbin.info/www/bejne/m57LqparndR2mLs

I'm going to tell you guys something right now , okay, I have to. And I'll bet she is absolutely correct. But. In world war two which was many years ago, The fastest fire plane that we had at that point in time was f four u corsair, But it was with a four blade prop. I don't know.I just thought I would tell everybody this. That's a beautiful aircraft right there and she is one head of a pilot.

Listen, I can remember back in nineteen seventy four, I was like eight years old, My dad is flying this aircraft. This is an amazing aircraft. If I'm not mistaken on the top speed.I believe it was like two hundred and ten miles per hour. He originally taught me how to fly at a young age, I couldn't land, But I was able to fly around in a One seventy two skylark. But I was always amazed with the Arrow.

This gal is probably one of the best GA review people on this channel. I believe she is also a CFI and I'm confident she is just as capable at that as well. Usually on a review, you could drift off and not miss much. Not here, her reviews are just well organized and provide such great comparisons of features as she compared them to other brands and models. Keep up the great work, you have a bright future.
