Beautiful rendition! I'm so enjoying studying this Sarabande at the moment (well, the entire BWV 1007) under the wonderful instruction of your former student, Alex Rockwell. He often shares morsels from his study with you, and so your legacy and influence are infinite. Warm wishes from Michigan!

I heard this on Classical Guitar Alive today and really liked the melody. I haven't come across this before, so I consider this a good find. Well played!

I saw you in concert many years ago in Cardiff (you had a coughing fit halfway through the first piece, which broke the ice!) and I was so impressed with your trills that I became a bit obsessed with trills. Thanks for the inspiration.

I hope there will one day be less hostility towards playing Mozart on guitar. I think insights into his works can help inform our performance of Sor and Carulli.

I learned to play this piece for Stanley's book and cd. I love the transcription in C major as opposed to D major that most do. D major makes sense because it is a 5th above the original G major, but the C major on a guitar gives it a deeper, haunting feel that I love.

I bought this music months ago and left it in Florida. This morning I opened it up and read through it. This is precisely the kind of music I would’ve poured over for hours as a student to me the best reading will always be its first one.

Hello Mr. Yates, I understand that you have been playing guitars made by Zebulon Turrentine in the States. I am curious why you chose his instruments as opposed to another luthier? Very interested in your answer.
