Hii, i did a little research and found that there are a number of problems while repaying the loan especially while making a few payments upfront. But you didn't seem to have any problem with the loan repayments. How does it work while applying for a reamortisation for a pre closure of the educational loan. Could you elaborate more in this part. I'm confused with a lot of mixed reviews

There are 2 ways they deal with advanced payments, I am quoting them: 1. Do nothing: This is the default option we’ll apply. This will allow you to defer your payment to a later date which will reflect on your next statement. However, if you wish to continue making monthly repayments to settle your loan sooner you're welcome to do so. 2. Loan re-amortization: This will reduce the monthly installment that is due each month for the remaining term of your loan. If you’re planning on doing this, remember that you’ll still be expected to make monthly payments. I am yet to get my loan re amortised as I am just paying double emis for sometime now and wanted a considerable chunk to be deposited before I did that. But no problems so far tbh.

Greetings, I've been admitted to study an MSc Investment and Finance at University of Strathclyde in Scotland. Classes start next month. I applied for The Beit Trust Fund scholarship earlier in the year but my application was rejected. I also applied to University of Strathclyde for the available scholarship but I received a rejection letter 12 days ago. My background is that I studied and completed my ACCA-UK Qualification in 2012. I worked as an External Auditor for KPMG Chartered Accountants, Moores Rowland Chartered Accountants and Office of The Auditor General in Zambia, Africa for a total of 5 years. I completely understand your concern. When you first start repaying a loan, your EMI payments are split between interest and principal. In the early stages of the loan, a larger portion of your EMI goes toward interest, and a smaller portion goes toward reducing the principal. This is why it might feel like the principal isn't decreasing as quickly as you'd expect. However, over time, the interest portion of your payments will decrease, and more of your payment will go toward the principal, which will accelerate the reduction of your loan balance. This is a normal part of the amortization process. You can request your complete repayment schedule from them which will have it in more detail.
