Hello, I'll be taking student loan for tution fees and my father is my co applicant for UK UNI. I needed some clarification. I have old format birthday certificate (non-digitised) which only has my father's name on it. I wanted to know if it'll be accepted for Visa application or do I need to reissue digitised format of my birthday certificate which has both of my parents name and attached the new one in application. Please give some clarification.

Hi, Agar aap funds apne account mein show kr rhe ho and agar aapke loan pe parents co-applicant nahi hain then you don't need birth certificate. But agar loan pe co-applicant parents hain to uss case mein ye issue ho sakta hai..

Also in this case you can check with your visa consultant if you can attach an affidavit for mother's name which might work as well.

Hi, Yes this might create a problem in case there's a mismatch. While showing funds in parent's account birth certificate is mandatory and affidavit won't work. In this scenario I would suggest you to not take any chances and transfer the funds in your account and then apply for visa.

Hi Vishal, that might be an issue but I am not sure about it. You can refer a consultant in this case as they might be able to help you better. I got my visa from Fateh education (they don't charge anything for consultation from you) so you can have a word with them to make sure if you can proceed with this or not

@@sarojkoirala3968 Basically what the bank wants is some kind of assurance as you would be going out of the country for your studies. A co-applicant is someone who would be responsible for the loan repayment incase you fail to repay your loan amount due to any unforeseen circumstances. Generally banks require someone in your blood relation like your mother/father/siblings to be your co-applicant. I hope this clears it up!

Hi, For UKVI birth certificate is mandatory if showing funds in parents' account and any other document won't work. You can contact the regional MCD office for getting your name added to the certificate, it just takes a week and then get it translated from a certified translator.

No, if it is in your name then you don't need to provide a birth certificate. And don't worry, they won't ask any questions as where this money came from.

It depends on your loan co-applicants. If parents are your co-applicants then birth certificate will be required. If you have a copy of birth certificate then you can go to the municipal office and they can issue a new one.
