Did you add clear coat at the end or is it just the c series?

i used a lil bit of Vaseline and some uchigo powder..uchigumori is a Japanese natural wet stone used by sword polishers and in powder form it has many uses, i used it to lap the bolt and action for a silky smooth finish that greatly improved cycling the bolt. its a rem mod of 1917. and i picked it over a budget option as it was only tagged at 199$ and was the cheapest 30-06 in the shop because it was not original anymore. it has an old weaver k4 that has a custom reticle on it and turned out to be a full house custom build from the action up with a med heavy 25 inch barrel..im still surprised how good a deal i got that day..the stock is worth more than that lol.and it shoots tiny groups!

If you don't have a buffing wheel you can get the same results with Mothers Mag and Aluminun Polish. 2000 grit snadpaper will also work. Polish after using 400 or 600 grit sandpaper to knock off the rough spots. A popcicle stick with fine sandpaper will work on the inside of the receiver. I recently did it to a Ruger Hawkeye stainless. It is now smoother than a Tikka.

The Daniel Defense DDM4V7 California compliant model comes with a factory installed mag lock system that can still hold the bolt open. I just used the hellfire takedown pin and that's it. Solid option for anyone who is curious

Definitely do not use an aftermarket magazine. I purchased a used one for $199 and had nothing but jams. I did not know until I sent it to Bersa for repair that it had an aftermarket magazine in it. They replaced it with a Bersa magazine, and sent it back, within 3 weeks, in a nice box which I did not have at the time of purchase. One other caution using ammo... Do not use cheap Eastern European ammo such as Herzog.

How about using polishing compound? Would that work quicker than oil?

I would give you 5 stars but never ever do what you did without after polishing use a can of brake cleaner to get all that grit that is embedded into the bolt washed off. It will embed itself in the railways and you will never get it out!!

😅😅 I did exactly the same modification with the Juggernaut and the AR maglock. I also didn't like that I couldn't lock the bolt open.

I own 2 of them. And unfortunately, I have to say they are complete junk. They have a slide problem that the gunsmiths can't fix and you can't disassemble it without the possibility of taking hours for that slide to catch complete piece of junk very dangerous to use no quality control anymore. I'm gonna spend some money and get me a sig 380, at least I know. I can put the slide back on haha, ha.
