Very nice! Thumb up from me... I installed the new alpha build Home-Assistant-Matter-Hub and it actually works very good... I can now also use voice commands through Google to control the lights... Any idea if other way around is possible? For example trigger a voice command 'dishwasher done' towards the google hub when home assistant detects it is done ???

I have been working on getting my ESP32-cam into frigate for over a week, and your guide has gotten me closer than any previous...so first and foremost, thank you. The key that I never saw anywhere prior was the addition of the input_args: "" line! Maybe there have been some changes in the year since you made this video as I am using Frigate V: 0.14.1 but I am unable to get recordings or any detection. Of note is that my config will fail if I enter the output_args: section. I did my research and tried a few options from the Frigate output args presets, but still cannot get anything into the config. I found out that a containerized version of Home Assistant doesn't contain the Add-Ons feature. Been trying to configure the Home Assistant OS or Supervised version on my Ubuntu server but I'm getting stuck... is there an alternative for Home Assistant Containerized or Core?
@SmartHomeCircle
@SmartHomeCircle 10 күн бұрын
Home Assistant Addons are basically containers the Home Assistant run and manage. So you can run the addons as containers along with the Home Assistant container. I do this as I am running Home Assistant as a container as my daily driver. However, Sometimes it difficult to run an addon as container. Like sometimes HA builds the docker image on the HA instance itself. Like for this video I could not run the microphone addon as a container. But whisper and piper I could run them as containers. I have added the docker compose files for whisper and piper in the article that I have linked in the video description.

Can you make sure that the wires to the microphone are short? Like shorter than 10 cms. Also you can try to see what is recorded from the microphone by putting this option in the configuration.yaml file. ``` assist_pipeline: debug_recording_dir: /config/shared/assist_pipeline ``` This will record the audio as files in this location : /config/shared/assist_pipeline Use this option with caution as it may fill up the space very fast. So dont forget to remove it after you have finished debugging.

hi, great video! well done. I purchased the material as per the guide but I wonder, the LED strip is connected to the D1 mini which powers it, but the strip I purchased is the 5 meter one with 60 LEDs per meter. Powered by the D1 mini alone? Does the LED strip not need additional power? thanks

You can either cut 1 mtr from it and use it with the d1 mini directly or if you plan to use the 5 mtrs then you will have to power it with an external power supply of 5v. The D1 mini cannot provide the high current required for 5mts.
