Things left out: hurricanes, most single residence houses not constructed for cold weather, yet in Jan it's as cold as the midwest, home to five different Superfund sites, including "Mount Dioxin", schools are poorly funded, from May until October if you live on beach traffic can be a nightmare getting into Pensacola or even Gulf Breeze. I'd add more, but I'm too "woke" to bother.

We visited back in MAR 2023, after living in the cities of San Diego, Oceanside, San Antonio, Jacksonville, FL etc., I must say Pensacola was absolutely a breath of fresh air. We stayed in the Portofino / Gulf Breeze area and traveled to Pensacola and even went up to Pace & Molina. Everything was beautiful and everyone was so laid back and it did not feel crowded at all. Even the Naval base was close to everything. Maybe one day we will reside there, hope to land a job there. :)

I moved from Colorado Springs to FWB 3 years ago...like you said Colorado is a blast I loved it there. Im truly torn between the 2 i haven't spent alot of time in Pensacola in the 3 years ive been here oddly enough. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else other than Florida or Colorado.

I’ve been looking to move to Pensacola later this summer and I’m looking for a decent apartment complex. Most of the apartments I’ve seen online have very bad reviews. Could you recommend any decent places to live in the area?

Single dad moving to Pensacola. Or surrounding area. Daughter is 14 and I’m going to-be renting for a while at first. Where would you recommend safety wise and school wise?

I lived in Pensacola a couple of times in my life, most recently 2019. Presently, I live in Tucson AZ and comparing the two I would say Tucson has a worse bug problem, it also has a "monsoon" season that brings them out along with the humidity and some flooding, it gets hot here too.. Jobs, things are improving here because it's starting to grow, but I just retired or semi-tired so any kind of part time job is Ok with me. I believe gas is cheaper there too, here it's about 4.30 a gal. Really the only "con" I see is hurricanes, missed Ivan and Dennis back in 04 and just missed Sally. I want to live in a "Red" state and AZ is now a "Blue" state, so it's one of the reasons I am giving serious thoughts of returning to Pensacola, plus Tucson doesn't have those beautiful beaches and ocean which is the biggest "pro" in my book.

Moving from Tucson to pensacola. Tucsons job market is awful, houses with no yards start at $350,000. Is the job market better, and can you buy a nice house for $350,000 in a decent neighborhood?
