The chance for spaghettification increasing 7000% makes perfect sense. If the default rate of spaghettification in the TVA is 0.1%, then that means in the loom it's 7%. Multiply the base probability by 7000%, which is 70.

While this show isn't good, I will say that you are wrong about saying that the show establishes a lack of free will. People in the different timelines do have free will, that's how they're able to create branches and make choices the TVA can't acount for. Just any decision that could lead to someone more powerful than Kang existing is pruned. There is free will, so long as you don't do anything that could directly or indirectly challenge Kang.

I think Kang is the one who stops timeline to branch but he can't stop infinite things. So he needs TVA to stop thr anomallirs he didn't see. It means he is lying that he sees and knows everything and this is better than what he said. I like to blieve that.

This is a great example of if someone is determined they can make something out to be much worse than it is. Also Worst marvel show? She hulk and Nick Fury were by far much worse, and plotholes aside, Loki show was atleast a fun ride.

You guys are forgetting the fact that Loki being beat in one hit hy a prune stick is meant to show the power of the TVA, yes theyre variants but they have equipment ABOVE ALL TIME AND SPACE!!!!! The prune stick hit was followed by them being shown to use infinity stonws as paperweights to only further emphasize how powerful they really are!!!

the whole reason for the tva's existence doesn't make sense pre endgame, since no person ever would have a reason to go against the _sacred timeline_ .. everyone would have made the choices that they were meant to make in the first place. the show insinuates that people have been time traveling.

15:31 dude everything is an ouroboros. Kang let these events occur bcz he was born in the future and these discoveries like time travel were important for him to become who he is now🤦. This cycle has to repeat constantly for him to exist. When the universe first came Into existence these events occur exactly like this and then in the future kang was born then he witnessed the multiversal war and decided to make TVA to just let ONLY his timeline be the main one.

Subbed, there are only 6 films in the Skywalker story, in my opinion, this new trilogy was absolutely disrespectful to the source material it was supposed to continue. 7 was a great start, then Rian Johnson said himself he wanted to do a story completely opposite of 7, something on his own, different, off the cuff, unexpected, not realizing that he was breaking the entirety of the Skywalker story, and characters by disrespecting the heart and soul of the entire thing that George Lucas created...brilliant...🤦🏾‍♂️

My short in-depth response to you, and why I think you are giving this show far too little credit. Obviously, this is not an attack on you, but something I think you could find useful to challenge your own views, as it seems like most people in your comments are perfectly happy eating up everything you are saying with no rebuttals at all, and I think everyone knows how harmful an echo-chamber can be. I am not playing devils advocate either, these are my actual thoughts and opinions. 1) It's very possible that Loki simply couldn't use the infinity stone correctly without it being in the scepter and/or without him taking time and concentration to channel it's power. We see in Guardians of the Galaxy and elsewhere that not everyone can use an infinity stone, let alone hold them. So I feel although it isn't stated, there is still a reasonable explanation for why he didn't use it "properly" to quickly escape other than "lazy writing" 2) He who remains planned for Loki and Sylvie to meet him, so yeah, they captured Loki before erasing the branch, but what makes you think that they need to capture EVERYONE who is a variant? Why? What would they do to counter a variant like Thanos with infinity stones? Literally just enter the branch, somewhere far away and safe, and prune it, with the variant inside. That is always an option for them, so why would they need more equipment? Even if squad A loses, squad B can pick a different spot, and prune it. We see that the Prune Sticks they hold are also used by Kangs to erase eachother from ALL of time, including what seems to be, all of reality across all time and outside of it, however the Reset Charges do not appear to do this, but seem to also be explained away as, they might just have multiple settings, or a process they go through before fully pruning the entire branch, or they can localize it's effect if desired. It seems like your only complaint really is that the show didn't explain them well enough and that they are too OP. So what, their exact functionality is not a core part of the story being told, nor is the fact they even exist. He who remains is OP, that's his thing, the show isn't about beating him or his tech, it's about dilemmas and as said by Mobius, choosing your burdens in the face of bad choices. It's not overcoming a great villain, it's overcoming one's self. So the villain, and their tech, doesn't need to be anything more than a means to that end. Also, them taking stuff from the timeline before pruning it, is probably just useless and they don't actually need too, but it's never stated that anyone at the TVA even moderately understands how their equipment works, so, yeah they are going to just follow protocols. He who remains isn't just running the TVA, but is also using constant disinformation to keep them in check. Part of that might be misleading protocols and procedures that are actually functionally useless 3) There is not a contradiction between the Sorceress Supremes explanation and the TVA. From the Sorceress Supremes perspective, that probably is how it functionally works and she just isn't aware of the truly massive scale of multiversal time branching, or is aware but just doesn't think those far away branches are relevant to her own reality, etc, etc, etc. They can both be right, from their own, functional perspectives. One may not be TRULY correct, but does that really make a difference in practice to either of these people/groups? Not really. People can be wrong, or hiding thing's or not caring about things, even the Sorceress Supreme. 4 ) Remember how at the end of Loki, that Loki, allowed the multiverse to infinitely branch, eliminating The Sacred Timeline? Yeah, that means, all the old MCU films, still canonically happened, it means that Loki causing everything to happen by taking the Tesseract, can still have happened, because Loki ensured they'd all happen. It feels like you are not understanding the ramifications of timelines and what Loki did at the end of time. As you said "...like this just hurts my brain whenever I think about it..." so, take the time to learn and understand it better before offering a full blown critique founded on painful to grasp concepts that you are struggling to explain/rectify, especially when it turns out, your critiques can be rebutted so easily. 5) Yeah, Loki is a little dumb from time to time for the sake of plot progression, sure, that's a valid critique, but virtually every film does this. As for him getting reset in a place in time WITHIN the TVA, yes, it was established in later episodes already that while the TVA is entirely outside of time as the MCU largely experiences it, it still intermingles with time in some ways and is affected by perhaps some extended effects of it, (hence, time-slipping in the TVA and being able to be pruned in it), at least locally to a degree? He who remains isn't all powerful after-all, just VERY powerful, perhaps there are some things about time even he cannot control or understand. 6) The pile of papers not actually being everything he's ever said right there on the table, yeah, probably isn't. But once again, a HEAVY disinformation campaign is being constantly run by he who remains. It can easily be chalked up to that. Not necessarily lazy writing. Also, maybe it was just added for comedic effect without a heap of thought? Maybe your right in this case, but it was funny, films are allowed to have well placed and contextual comedy that doesn't have a bearing on the plot for the sake of changing the atmosphere of the film for some purpose, or just because you want your film to invoke happiness in those that watch it. This is Cinema Sins level overanalyzing and does more artistic harm than constructive criticism. Films exist to invoke feelings, tell stories, immerse a person in another world to escape reality for a while, to inspire, and to challenge frontiers of thought and what people think. Nitpicking and show like this almost entirely incorrectly confidently, while not even entertaining other reasonable explanations, or to straight laugh them off without acknowledging them, is a pursuit in, and expectation of perfectionism, a film that does everything. You're chasing dragons. I could go on and on rebutting most of your entire analysis of Loki and the MCU as a whole included (I did watch the entire video), but comments can only be so big, so I only covered the first 18 minutes, maybe I'll make a whole video rebuttal at some point. I do think there are good conversations and thought that could come of it. For now though, this is my short critique of your critique. If you did read through it all, thank you, I appreciate it.

A few years late but on the topic of the time traveling avengers and the judge's contradiction. I'm fairly certain it being a contradiction is intended to show or at least hint that the TVA is not necessarily the good guys and are hypocritical. Doesn't change that it was clumsy and stupid thought. They could have easily done this better but that requires thought which the writers couldn't do.

I'm extremely late to the marvel movies (ironically I started watching them a couple months ago because I saw a clip of this show out of context and thought it looked cool enough to watch, so I went back with the intent to watch every movie that Loki was in until I accidentally became a marvel fan lol) but I have finished season 1 of Loki with intent to watch season 2 with a kind of morbid interest. This show is WILD I've never seen a project with such buck wild decisions (the selfcest, the backwards logic, the lack of motivations for just about every character to be doing what the plot needs them to do, to start with) but with such an insane budget behind it 💀💀 I love this show as one loves those compilation videos of car crashes or train wrecks; this show is my roman empire.

fr, like I feel Loki is a victim, it should be Tony stark being arrested for messing up, it was only natural for Loki to try and steal it, sure he wasn't supposed to, but that's because Tony wasn't supposed to drop it unless he was supposed to drop it, and Loki was supposed to just leave it alone? if endgame wasn't supposed to steal it then shouldn't the new plot of endgame of going even further back in time was wrong? Unless maybe the real crime is he was supposed to teleport somewhere else and not specifically Mongolia. oh, and if there is one sacred timeline and every other timeline is wrong, wouldn't Sylie's birth be pruned as she should've been a boy as the canon is a man? yeah he is genderfluid but Loki then should've chosen to be a male.

And that's a plot hole. Tony and Steve only go to 1970 because Loki took the Tesseract. The TVA didn't go after Tony or Steve in 1970 because it was meant to happen. So it makes no logical sense that Loki would be pruned but Tony and Steve would not. Plot hole.
