24:01: Homelander has superhuman hearing and can "tell" if humans are lying by the slight increase in their heartbeat, as is established in some dialogue between Homelander and I forgot who. If Stormfront can lie cold-faced and calm, HL can't tell shit. Also, watching the scene it's pretty obvious that HL doesn't really buy Stormfront's lie anyway. He's dev suspicious, feeding in his paranoia.

Finally! Someone who understands how Homelander’s lie detecting works. It’s like if we hooked someone up to a lie detector machine, but they took something to alter the results of the lie detector before hand.

i think this is not that good of a critique, the loki review has some problems but this is what you call nitpicking, like; of course black noir could enter before the firefighters, but he can also wait for a number of personal reasons for him, like feeling more comfortable not being in public, you are just critizising because the characters dont do the exact things you would do, if anything, the mirror being aimed upwards is the dumb part of the scene, it should not have been a lateral mirror. of course a racist person would be ambiguously racist with nobody aroud and saying things that could be argued to be out of context even if she was accused, that is actually smarter than most racist people, why would she go out of her way to be racist with someone? because that is how hatred in racism works! one of the things that makes the boys so good is that it feels natural, scenes like the deep's or a-train's scenes are not neccesary, but makes the show feel more real and makes us closer to the characters (and are very likely setup for future episodes) some of the points are good, but i think you are being too unreasonable most of the time edit: also about the flight blackmail, its pretty obvious that both of them are bluffing, neither wants the video to go public, but that is the only way she has to save butcher, and destroying the phone first is dumb, why would you assume they dont have a failsafe for the most obvious response to being blackmailed, again, you are critizising the show as if your perspective is the only possible one and your assumptions are correct, bad choice considering you are thinking this in your chair at your home

"of course black noir could enter before the firefighters, but he can also wait for a number of personal reasons for him, like feeling more comfortable not being in public, you are just critizising because the characters dont do the exact things you would do" When is that established prior to this scene? He attacked Kimiko in an alleyway, sure, but she was there. And, if he's so uncomfortable with being in public (which I highly doubt because he's a very famous superhero), why the fuck would he attack and kidnap Starlight in public then? And, how is that a nitpick? The earlier Noir comes in, the less chances The Boys will have to conduct and prepare any measures against him, and their chances of dying go up. That's sounds pretty fucking important. "destroying the phone first is dumb, why would you assume they dont have a failsafe for the most obvious response to being blackmailed" Okay, if that's the case, why wouldn't Maeve tell homelander that there's other people who'll release it (I assume that's the failsafe)? If he does destroy the phone and kill Maeve/butcher, which given his volatility he very well could, that kinda defeats the whole point. And, why the fuck should we assume that given that the show has had no scenes of establishing that and considering how stupid the characters are?

@@melancholicwriter56 its not about assume things that were not stated, its about ignoring all posible answers that make sense and choosing to decide they dont make sense, even if your points are somewhat logical it doesnt invalidate most of the argument by the way thanks for reading the comment i didnt realise it was so much text

You know one of these days someone should just try scaling how powerful the off brand super hero universe are( anyone remember "Heros"? Or "Mighty Med"? No?..ok)
@theenrichmentcritic2 жыл бұрын
Never heard of those. Sorry
@TheScarletSlayer2 жыл бұрын
@@theenrichmentcritic WHAT?!? Basically Heros is a show about a world where people are starting to find out they have abilities, the main antagonist is Syler who realistically should be the most OP character in anything sense he has the power to take other people's powers and there's another hero who then copies his powers so the writers had to HEAVILY nerf them. And mighty meds just a Disney show from a few years back. But Syler realistically would beat homelander to death with his own arms. Syler has Immortality, regeneration, flight, super hearing, telekinesis, liquification, nuclear energy I think, and basically he could be all the seven in one if he killed them then ate their brains.

This just made my brain hurt and comes off as smug elitism. Like you're whole rant on Starlights powers in the cell and if the light was outside the room...no bro the light was inside the room like we can see it, and the likely explanation is she needs the light to be one meaning there would be electrical charge in the light which she would then be able to harness. The scene with the soup getting hitchhiked you say is pointless yet I can already tell if they didnt have that scene then you would say whatever happened with that other chick. All you;re critiques are set up with a lose lose lense.
@theenrichmentcritic2 жыл бұрын
If it was inside the room that is even worse because why would they put her in a cell where there is a light that she could use to harness her powers and escape? Not much of a supe-proof room if there is an object in the room that helps the supe gain her powers and escape. That's like putting up a criminal in a jail cell and letting them have the key.
