Possible in part because co2 has risen from the lowest 'near extinction' levels over the last 20k years to something more conducive to promoting life.

This is amazing! HUGE potential across all Africa, and I think for Australia too. We would need to do the implementation in a different way, but could very easily improve the long term farming capability of Australia!

It is great from your perspective. I would like to hear their honest perspectives. Don't get me wrong, I love permaculture, I am growing my own food forest. However, I am curious as to what these people's thoughts are on this. Because they might think it is a waste of resources and they would rather you buy them something else. Like a tractor or more fertilizer.

I heard something like this, but i dont clearly remember the details. The gist was that at one point china planted like a million or a hundred million trees in a desert. They all died because they werent appropriate for the climate, and also they were planted in a desert. This project seems pretty cool because its not just planting, but is permaculture and restoration. Theyre taking steps to keep water where its needed, and simultaneously allow top soil to regenerate (arguably the most important step). This kind of project would potentially be a bad thing if they eliminated the Sahara desert, as major winds actually lift necessary minerals and nutrients from the Sahara and carry it qcross the ocean to deposit in south american rainforests. And its essentially impossible to do this to an entire desert. So, i think its pretty safe

rooftop gardening has become quite popular in INDIA, especially in urban areas where space is limited. People are growing a variety of vegetables like tomatoes, spinach, cucumbers, and herbs like mint and coriander.

Growing up in 1980 and early 90ties communist/ becoming capitalist Poland almost all gardens around houses where like this full of food like berry bushes, fruit trees, lots of veggies and native flowers. The bees buzzing and so on. Then later we watched too much American tv shows and movies somehow barren flat lawns become standard :(
