Really fascinated to see you build. I just bought the game maybe a little over a week ago so I'm still early game, but it's nice to see that solar is not a waste! Looked at your cube and thought "32 solar panels per level? That doesn't seem dense enough?" Played around thought I'd pass on what I came up with: ➡⚡⬅⬇➡⚡⬅ ⬇⬆➡⚡⬅⬆⬇ ⚡⬅⬇⬆⬇➡⚡ ⬆➡⚡⚡⚡⬅⬆ ⬇⬇⬆⬆⬆⬇⬇ ⚡⚡⬅⬇➡⚡⚡ ⬆⬆➡⚡⬅⬆⬆ The individual vertical cables don't connect nicely on the top later like yours did, but it can be done with minimal loss (or just connect them under the floor and no one will know, haha). If you like the lined up pattern of yours, you could save some spaces with the top layer by rotating each layer 90 deg as you work your way up. Connects everything but the middle column along the way, saves some squares. 😉

Did you know that holding ctrl when adding items to a chest, you can transfer all like items with one click. I find it a real time saver. If you look from the top of the launch pad, you can see asteroids easier. Especially if you launch at night. Great episode!

As far as hearing a door opening, I hear that occasionally, I think it's just a wind sound, that happens occasionally. I watched a video from another KZbinr where he got obsessed with the sound and glitched through the map and nothing was there.

Here are some more tips about golden chests, but only in the areas you`ve been to, as I don't want to spoil your game, but this time with the exact coordinates. The first two are in the starting area, right next to your base (that is about to get flooded and become a lake), while the third is about that anniversary bunker. 1. Golden chest in the starting area, just on a small hill directly across your base, near the cliffs, on the other side - 262:26:488 (First number is North-South axis, Second number is Hight, Third is West - East axis). These coordinates always appear in the bottom left corner of your screen. 2. Secret deconstructable rocks in the starting area, that lead to a small passageway. If you go to your pod and face towards the Aluminum fields you will see a shorter rock formation in the cliff side. coordinates - 672:3:315 3. Anniversary bunker location is 1326:33:14, which is located just north (or to the left if you come from your base) of the aluminium fields. It will soon disappear so might as well get it.

Also, if you build your ore extractor in the aluminum fields, you get a chance to extract aluminum. I think it shows iron on the pic, but you can get all basic ores including aluminum, so you can make super alloy if you need it.

Definitely go with the launch platform. Each rocket increases either pressure, heat, or oxygen by 1000%. The rockets are expensive at first, but they send down meteor storms of rare materials

Wow you made so much progress in just a single short episode, I'm actually impressed. And also you are right, there is osmium in the cave above. Please also find some tips below for later. 1. There is a golden chest just beneath the rocks that are like a bridge between your base and the aluminum fields you went to. There is also another golden chest a bit in and to the left part of the fields, just beneath an aluminum column. 2. Rockets are absolutely amazing and each can multiply generation by 1000% (10 times). Also they are a great source in the early game of Uranium and Iridium, before you can get access to the T2 miners that can mine rare resources. They often return a good 20-30 of iridium/uranium.

I wasn't going to advise cause I couldn't remember precisely what both did, but I do remember that rockets help A LOT, and can't remember what biodome does at all. I'm guessing from the name that it helps grow plants.

The resources never seem to run out, but i didn't play a long time. Those green things are paint in case you didn't realize, I misunderstood and thought they were a weird food lol. I'm really glad you did functions cause I hadn't tried those, which would have saved me a lot of work. Now I see them at work my brain just sees them as equations, like E=mc2. Can't wait for more videos!

I remember the first time I saw a play-through of this game. The lore is sparse but really interesting to me. I thought about how the Dev could expand on it, where you gain your freedom terraforming this planet, then do a few more to make some money. You then get contacted by a group looking to set up planets free of the corporations, and you can choose to go with them and have a really tough time, but eventually unlocking some really interesting story and tech, or go with the corps and eventually gain a high position looking for planets to send other suckers to.

This game looks super simple but turns out to be really complex, which I love. I could see myself spending hours later on just trying to figure out a whole assembly line. Thanks for featuring this one, I'm going to get the demo. I'd love to see more of this.

@@zachsletsplays I just finished the demo...mostly, it's complicated and I don't want to spoil it. I will likely go back in and try to learn more about different commands. I finished with simple commands but now I want to try to expand and figure out all it has to offer. Very addicting game lol

Every time I see someone dillydallying and worrying about the Feng Shui of their base WHILE THEY'RE in LOW POWER I want to scream! While in Low Power, everything STOPS. And that means NO Ti, no food growing(if/when you get to that stage... Study the unlock screen to see what you need to reach that goal) The only screen you really need in the beginning is the Unlock Screen. Meteorite showers. What they drop will eventually despawn if you don't pick it up. It WILL despawn if you exit the game. So grab it while it's there. Meteorite showers with a GREEN tinge to them drops SuperAlloy which you'll need a lot of later, but it despawns within 30 seconds from hitting the ground. And being outside during this event is dangerous. There's a STEAM Achievement 'Not the Face' for getting hit. And it can sap your health enough to kill you. When you find a Blueprint Chip, just put up an Unlock Screen in the shelter outside the wreck. No need to carry it back to base, and there's a lot of other stuff you could be carrying.

Yeah i could have set the power back up a little faster when i was moving base but it was only like 5min with out it. Didn't know about the meteors de-spawning times so that is good to know! @@zachsletsplays I'm a little bit hung up on keeping machinery going because I prefer to play on HC mode. And up until you have a steady food supply and water supply, and half a locker full of Beans, it can get tense... I'm old-school gamer(started with a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K in 84, Timex Sinclair something in the USA) and I learned to take note. The first time I played TPC, I took a good look around inside the pod, found the chest and what was in it, then the Crafting machine. I read the description of everything I could make, and what I needed for it. I made the constructor Chip first because it seemed to be the most important and also unlocked he construction menu. That gave me access to a list of machines and stuff I could build. Again, taking notes. I later(after a few horrible videos. Do not look at my first HC run... It's horrible. everything I had planned just... disappeared from my head... ) anyway, I did some maths... The numbers are availablee after all. A major goal is to bee self-sufficient on food, right. That requires Food Growers. They unlock based on Oxygen level. A single Vegetube T1 with a Lirma seed will use over 22Hours to unlock the Food Grower T1. yes, really. It's clear that even a 300 or 400% seed won' cut it, either. Even multiple Vegetubes will struggle, unless you find a lot of food. So you need Vegetube T2(it's 8X more effective, and a single one can unlock Food Growers in between 2 and 3 hours, with just a Lirma seed. ) But it requires heat to unlock. A single Heater T1 will unlock the Vegetube T2 in about 40 minutes... 2 or 3 heaters and you're cooking! Also, the first unlocks in Pressure and general Ti is better a better backpack and larger O2 tank. So setting up a pair or more Drills and a couple windmills, before even starting on your base just makes so much sense. My hope is to soon be able to run a HC mode game in the Crater. I almost succeeeded once, but fell off a cliff and ran out of health just before my first food items were ready forr harvest... That sucked... Do NOT try the crater on standard mode until you know the general layout, much less on Intense or HC.

And if you once in a while, when starting a new survival /exploration/building game, you think 'maybe I should take a look at my options before throwing myself into it,' I'd count that as a win.

You can move around all items of a single type or build multiple items by holding "Control". Also best to have individual storage for all base items - Iron, Magnesium, Silicon. alloys etc., but one never needs more than a single storage locker for each. Also I really like how you speed up some parts -adds production value :D

That ship you explored today has a golden chest on top of it. When you're looking at the entrance, go around the right side and make your way on top, then look around. They have a good plant in them as well as a little trophy for display.

@@zachsletsplays Watching other playthroughs I'm seeing that there are A LOT of parts to this game, it might be good to just spend some time off-camera looking through everything. Then again you might not understand how it all works yet. I've been trying to think how to give you small tips to look at and it's really difficult to pick just one. Oh! Here's a good one, look carefully at the traffic and total people allowed when you buy a business, it makes a HUGE difference on income and expenses to get it balanced. I think you made good choices on your first two. I'll try to point out more as I see them watching your videos, there is just so much to keep track of it's really crazy for an EA. Lawyers and web designers are a really good business to get into also, no need to supply them. Training your employees is the most important for those.

Didn't know you could have lawyer and web businesses so that will be fun to look into! Is there a way to get things auto shipped/ordered to you to businesses or do you have to keep supplying them?

@@zachsletsplays Yeah, do a few more tutorial missions and they will walk you through setting up deliveries and all that. There is also a mission to set up lawyers...I think after the HQ, so just follow the tutorial and it'll teach you about them. Warehouse, HQ, a manager to buy from importers, another manager to deliver from your warehouse to your businesses, a delivery driver, that gets you started lol. HR managers are sweet too, they will train your people for you, it's much quicker to send them to training, but HR will train them as they work. Like I said there is A LOT in this for it being EA.

I don't think they have you set up web dev though, so you'll have to do that on your own. I think the lawyers are to show you the difference between a business that needs constant supply and one that doesn't.

You really don't ever need to worry about oxygen until you start exploring deep wrecks. Otherwise anywhere else you can build. 3 iron 2 titanium and 1 silicon, and you can make a room wherever you're at. Refill your O2 and and then deconstruct the room and keep moving.

Those microchips unlock blueprints that you cannot unlock otherwise (through heat, pressure, etc.) But that's how you get cool stuff like your jetpack.

No, you get access to the JetPack at 175KTi when you reach 'Blue Sky' and the Advanced Crafting Table. T2 and T3 versions are Blueprint Chip versions, though. 150 - 170 and finally 190% speed modifier. It gets Zippy!

Really enjoy Planet Crafter, although its a bit slow start. When I saw the game for the first time - I was like this game is sooo ugly :D. Now that I have a fully terraformed world - damn its so pretty, Its about terraforming and expiration . Most important thing is to have fun and if you don't - that is alright - find something you do have fun with !

I have been enjoying planet crafter lately. I know everyone plays differently, but I always carry 3 iron, 2 titanium, and a silicon when I go exploring to build a quick outpost for oxygen.
