This game was a absolute blast for me the story build from the beginning to the love story was awesome shame that went to drain after that, But if someone is seeing this after playing the game some doubts I have, hope someone might clear it to me in the future are: [spoilers ahead] Q1) How was naozumi, the fake touko was able to manipulate the futara ryuusei in using the batoukori the box if she was herself created by the box as futara ryuusei says that touko brought the box and planned to attack the shiki but at the ending she denies of doing such things but instead naozumi or fake touko says she manipulated him, which should be impossible as she was created by the box itself later on before the attack, so how was she able to plan an attack on shiki and brought the batoukori? Q2) Why did the soilders attack kurou? and if he possed threat to the mainland then why did the attack futara ryuusei? Q3) At the near end of the story we get a flashback from original touko about the batoukori/box which killed the daughter of ichinakuri family, Then the box should have been empty. Because when the box attacked kurou and kyouko in their wedding and there was no indication in the story the futara ryuusei collected the wombs to use it, So how did the box work again? Q4) When naozumi/fake touko killed renge the head of the girls only house she remembered naozumi and said it wasn't possible and she had a familar feeling of meeting her same with ryuuken futara, he also said she was similar but was not able to remember her, but naozumi only existed after the attack, How was it possible? Q5) At the end of the game after ending scene we get another extra scene where they show that reporter is actually the grandson of naozumi which he did not know and the source was naozumi's daughter?? or the resut of the box which kurou and kyouko were trying to get?

I am not someone that usually reads this kind of stories, but I had a dare with some friends that I could not finish this story to due how I would not be able to stomach it. And they would right, I couldn't, but due to a completely different reason that they expected. Maggots bait seems to have an interesting story at the background, but it's that, the background, because the sex or violent scenes (or both at the same time), did not stop for a second, it just didn't let the story breath at all... it was five minutes of story... and then 15-30 minutes of porn, torture or torture porn, to the point I even stopped caring at all. Shock has a value because it's unexpected, surprising... but when you use it every five minutes, then it's just stop being shocking and it's just plain boring.

Finished the base game yesterday. It is weird that it was another VN with a witch and red text :D Cannot recommend this one enough. Was truly an amazing experience. But the cruelty of some actions in the story was sometimes more than enough, so I had to take it in smaller steps.

I just beat the game and I had a lot of fun! I had to look up some stuff to proceed with the story but I was able to figure a lot of things by myself. I really loved the OST, the art style, and the effects were so clean. I'm hoping for a sequel!

If you like this title might I suggest you look at "Vampires' Melody" or "Everlasting Summer" in the future. Vampires' Melody will keep you busy with trying to get the entire flowchart, but Everlasting Summer will give you a great horror story in one of the side routes (Miku's Route). I look forward to see you review either in the future. Side Note: IF you have a Discord server I will gladly join.

best visual novel ever

It's basically fate but with curse and no silly anime quirks.

I think I was too dumb for this one. I didn't get the twist at all. I was so confused

I've been so mixed on this one for so long. The first part where it's a task to beat everybody else's curse stones was one of the most fantastic bits of VN storytelling and creativity I have seen in a while. The strategy vibe was great. But the rest of the VN was just okay to me, but not what I expected after the prologue. I liked some of the creativity, but eh. If anything, it's too short. I felt disappointed. It's like I got the dessert first and then the rest was just a plate of vegetables. Nowhere near as good. As for the true ending, I actually did figure that out by chance since I already figured out why the weird things happened at the beginning and suspected Yoko was not a good girl after thinking about it, so I figured I should go to that part. And then I just so happened to see the thing I needed to click on, which I guess I got lucky with. I do appreciate the review, and it's very similar to how I felt.

cool to see you cover this one :) i had sooo much fun playing this game. i really liked the unique flowchart and parallel perspectives. i feel like some of the progression got really obtuse in the latter half (maybe i’m also just bad at puzzles haha) and the ending was just alright. but the gorgeous visuals, cute and quirky characters and consistently interesting narrative kept me invested the whole time. i had such a good time with it and that’s what sticks me

Spoilers ahead The ending of paranormasight was definnetely the worse part for me, i was so involved in the story and then in the end i was like "Thats it?" I wanted to see more about the mastermind girl i forget the name and to go on a hunt and stuff for the 3 pieces you need to get the true ending. But nope she is just evil and you already have all 3 just click a button and it ends no extra context.

It has a great presentation and sound, and its quite interesting how it manages the characters. But i must admit, i didn't care for the ending, its a type of ending that i dislike.
