Thank you for this. Alex deserves all the accolades he did get and so much more. I think your film moves the needle in that direction. RIP Alex, you touched me and continue to do so in 2024.

Great musician. I love his songs, specially with Big Star. I saw him alive in Madrid at late 80s and it was fantastic, with only voice, gutar . bass and drums

I noticed that the person stops at the number 18. Could that mean that the abuse stops when the child is finally old enough to leave? Or could that mean that he might not make to the age of 18 from his abuse?

also fantastic backing vocals by bass player as well as very slick playing by he and Alex. and this drummer kills it on what is not an easy song to nail.

The hype about Alex, virtually all coming from those invested in him, is tiresome. He didn’t just affect a lack of care, he demonstrated failure in detail. I’ve been in the music biz my entire life. This behavior is not new to me, in which one whose ability is marginal chooses to fake an even greater inadequacy. I don’t get it. I’ve never seen it work, and I would put this arrogance squarely at the top of the list for why such a great recording band went nowhere. The artifice of the studio is highly effective, but universally bad live performance can cancel any recording cred in no time flat. When will they ever learn?

Thank you. Love hearing him play, so smooth like a fine wine. Blueberry Hills, The Fat Man, how many times do you think he's played them

People always gotta put their 1 cent in about how they feel about people. If Al was out there strung out on drugs and living under a bridge - those who yalk and judge here would still talk and judge. Let God do God's thang. Getcho mouf out da way! To the ones that are so holy that that they know what God is doing with Al ... please rathet concentrate on what YOU are not doing right. Who has been (physically) healed through your ministry lately? Who have ypu visited in Jail or Prison thus week? Whodid you help pay their bills this week? Concentrate on those things and judge that of YOURSELF.

I too saw this in Zeitz Mocaa in Cape Town. I was first drawn by the music, went into the room and was captured by the music and visual masterpiece. I could have sat there forever watching and listening. It touched my soul.
Fats had some fantastic records and people that knew him said , he was a wonderful man.
