I am not sure I'd want both a top box (47 liters) and saddlebags (56 liters total) on this bike anyway. Metal tank equals magnetic tank bag, which is a cheap option for secondary storage. I have a 2013 which means the sexy integrated bags were not an option. The factory top box is just a Givi anyway, so I bought the Givi box with brackets and a backrest from a European site on a good sale day, and after Canadian duty and taxes, was in about $650 CDN. Best thing I ever did besides losing style points. Now I'm able to get food, beer, and many other items. Trips are easy and my occasional passengers can relax. Not to mention, the bike is no wider than before, even if we don't have legal lane splitting here.
@LiterFreedom2 күн бұрын
@@kevinjacobson2202 honestly your brought up some great points here! I can’t really argue with them haha Unless you really need the extra space that the saddle bags could offer + top box (such as long camping trips on remote areas where you must carry a lot of stuff and an extra passenger). Let me ask you a question. Is it easy to remove your top box bracket? (I mean the mount for the box) or is it practically mounted there for good?

All your concerns are somewhat valid. I' not wondering about your fuel consumption if you allmost using 1st and 2nd gear while you driving though village or small chilling streets (at least in this video). Here in Germany, citizens are really sensitive about Motorbike noise. So I allmost use high gears driving with my 1000SX, e.g. 5th gear though villages at 50km/h and the SX does not feel to have a problem with ths (compared to other bikes). So fuel consuption goes easily down to 5.2l/100km - yes, as well 6.2l ore more is possible;.). Compared to similar bikes for touring or even crossover bikes, the weight and size is not that tall. As well the prices in Germany, contrasted with the competitors, are not that high. I really like that bike, because, it is two bikes in one: first ad chilling tourer on low RPM and second realy sporty while stepping two (or three) gears down. Of course, it is a compromize on both sides. Only alternative is, to own two specialized Bikes. Have you considered the Ninja 650 as well (or e.g. Hondas CB650 variants)? Suszuki GSX 1000 GT ? the same or beter ?
@LiterFreedomАй бұрын
They are very similar in basically every way but…The ergonomics on the 1000sx are known to be a bit better and the looks of the 1000sx are also better in my own opinion! The best thing to do would be to test drive them both if possible! I’m thinking of making a video about this exact subject in the near future! Hope you subscribe for more content on two wheels! I have a Yoshimura slip on and Delkevic headers, the bike is totally quicker and more responsive! My mechanic advised against the ECU tune, he felt the ECU would adjust after 10 tanks of gas... 10 tanks later and the bike sounds and feels great!
@LiterFreedomАй бұрын
Thats good to hear, Rick. Did you put your bike on the Dyno too? If so what kind of numbers did you get? Cheers, brother!

chris moore @ mooremafia next time for ecu flash he a drag racer knows how to get every hp out of all bikes mooremafia.com/pages/kawasaki-tuning?gad_source=1 send in mail
@LiterFreedomАй бұрын
I like Moore Mafia, I've seen some good reviews from them, but, the problem is that if you're far away from the east coast you'd have to mail in your ECU, and he's basically going to do exactly what everyone else does but WITHOUT a dyno tune or results to see how youre particular bike will respond to certain options of the ECU flash! I appreciate you watching brother, hope you subscribe for more content on two wheels!

A tua produção audiovisual está cada vez melhor. A edição de vídeo é um vício que cresce como a vontade de andar de mota 🙂. As estradas e paisagens também são muito bonitas por aí. Boas curvas.

What can of ecu flash you're talking about ? Any file to share ? With what soft tune Ecu?
@LiterFreedomАй бұрын
How you doing, Xavier? What do you mean by files to share, do you mean like the dyno results or the actual settings for the ECU flash? Im only a beginner in this matter so bear with me, but, ill do my best to answer any of your questions! Hope you subscribe for more content on two wheels, brother! Ride safe!

Hi the information on the TFT display being reset is caused by the low voltage of the battery ,it occurred to me several times. Make sure checking the voltage monitor in the display or make sure ride every time for at least 20 minutes to restore the voltage from every engine start, and it doesn't happen anymore since I find it was the voltage problem. And the TW version Ninja 1000SX is 123.3 PS / 8,000 rpm ,maybe it can explain why you get difference around 8000rpm.
@LiterFreedomАй бұрын
I will look at the voltage. 有时我骑车10分钟去咖啡店。也许电池没有足够的时间充满电。谢谢你的建议!
