I'm wondering why 83-87 on the panel and on the package, should also fit 81-82 if it fits the 83. 1981-83 u won't be able to secure the board from the outside, but it's doable from the inside somehow. Can you explain ?

I’ve never dealt with it, but just looking at the light design, the light lens looks to be slightly narrower.

I just bought a Dominator Holley and the 12 inch dash for my GN. Do you use the speedometer cable that runs up to the dash because I can't get that cable out with out breaking the inner white part of the dash that held together the speedo unit. Please help 🙏

There is a tab holding it in place you need to push it down while wiggling the end and then it releases.

I removed it completely, I ordered the dash with the GPS antenna and I have an electric speed signal generator where the cable used to go into the transmission as a back-up.

That was just hand tapping using a wooden handle to reach in because wood the location, the o-ring seal is tight. It looks like took longer than it really did. I was also trying to mech it one the exact tooth to get the sensor and the cam and crank on the mark and magnet.

@VenomGT87 Thanks for the reply. Just started researching the holley and came across your vids. Popped a HG and was running antifreeze, tore down to do bearings and found the block cracked at head bolt. I guess the 4.1 I was running are known for it. Got a stock 3.8 block I'm switching to and figured time to update the dinosaur technology. I'll give cruze a call and see what the best combo will be for what I'm running. Thanks for the vids, will be good visual aid for when I install

With a new pump using white spring and 100psi at cold idle and 60psi in drive but when hot 85psi at idle and 65psi in drive, what would you think could be the cause for such high pressure? Clearance? 10w30 oil?

Your video was helpful, thanks. I believe a better way to clarify how the relief spring influences oil pressure is say, simply, it does not. The various spring temsions only determine how much back pressure ( from the engine ) will be allowed if there is some obstruction, before oil is bled off to avoid damage. Because Buicks normally make barely enough pressure, the stock spring will activate too quickly in a high reving performance motor. So a stronger spring is used to allow more needed pressure and oil flow.

I mounted mine right behind the license plate under my after market intercooler. Then I ran the lines of to the right side of the frame. Where you mounted yours I have my alky pump. Wish I could upload pics because that tranny cooler bracket with the 3 big wholes in it looks nice when your looking at the car from the front.
