@@MHobbs06 I’m guessing you mean 360 bod as a way to have the V/stand off bracket able to rotate by adding an insert I side the post tube? It’s sitting in the basement some where in or behind some box’s. But the double step option, in this compact packing option… man it’s hard to beat honestly. $500 set of 4…. Yeah it’s pricy but I have said in a previous video… you don’t have to buy expensive or lwcg to mobile hunt. You can do it for free or as cheap as you want. I buy lwcg cuz of quality and function. These staicks are really something else. A much much bigger step than the novix sticks you mentioned. You also don’t need a buckle. The clean on these really tighten down nicely. And it gets just as tight as a buckle without the weight or clutter of it.

@@andrewwaldron6012 awesome! Honestly the 1.0 would have plenty of room. The 2.0 is almost like a stand you would set up as a pre set (that’s just my opinion based on weights). But that would also depend on how big you are. But the 1.0 would be great for weight savings plus platform size.

@michigangrownoutdoors7254Ай бұрын
@@andrewwaldron6012 honestly any lwcg stand would work. The posts all have the groves in them. And the only difference is they would be a few inches shorter. Wouldn’t impact the packing at all. I feel like it would be just fine. You could move the sticks up or down in the post and find grooves where ever, or just over lap and set them on the post instead of inside. The .75 and 1.0, if you select same post height and same seat, they’re just fractions of an oz difference as well. So you can easily have the same weigh with those two stands. Just 1.0 is a little wider, and that wouldn’t impact stacking sticks. If ghat all made sense. Hope I didn’t ramble too much lol

I have the .75 with the mesh seat and it is so comfy. I can sit for hours with out having to stand. It's like a legit chair. Your but gets cold when it's windy😊. I shoot a trad bow early and a crossbow later season. I also have the ranger. Great stands. I have a problem choosing which one to use. I like the idea of the pull up rope being thick. What thickness is the rope? It looks very soft and flexible. It looks like it doesn't tangle. Do you keep it attached to the seat all the time?
@michigangrownoutdoors7254Ай бұрын
@@dsgrayco it’s solid braid nylon utility rope by sgt knits on Amazon. I have done both, 3/8 and 5/16 thickness… both work really well. I have done green and orange colors. But it’s nice and soft and works great. And it will tangle some but doing it this way with my packing in and out keeps me from having to un knot the clumps of a thin rope. It comes off and it’s not twisted up so I cmimb up no issues. And then pack it up the same. And typically I’ll have it on the seat. Makes it easy to grab but I have also use as a gear tie in the end and I’ll change where I attach it. Some times I’ll put on a belt loop if there’s a ton of branches and that way I can make sure the rope is on the best “line” to pull the bow up through the branches.

@@Warlock-ke2sw there’s bobbing for attaching a bow across the front of it and also a strap that comes out of the top you can use to attach extra gear. I would just use those to strap it down and run the top silver one that comes out of the top under the stock to prevent it from slipping down. A bow would be easier but a rifle could be tricky. If you have a sling already on the rifle you could also run that too strap through the sling so it doesn’t slip down rather than under the butt of the rifle. Man im 5 ft 6, 218 pounds. 10 size boot. Somewhat afraid of heights, is the .5 too small for me? Should i go with the .75 instead?
@michigangrownoutdoors72544 ай бұрын
@@rorynelson7548 hopefully this answer doesn’t piss you off, but if you’re looking for “comfort” I recommend the .75. It will have a slightly taller seat post and a medium standard seat which is the perfect size seat for these stands. The extra length on the front of the stand is nice… but it’s honestly not “needed” but could be great to have if you want to amp up comfort with a mesh seat. Mesh seat size takes up a lot of platform on the .5 in my opinion. Now with the .5… when you get up high, the platform shrinks. lol I also battle with heights but the biggest thing you need to remember with the .5 is it’s a minimalist stand. It’s not made for comfort or to be an all day sit and chill style hunt. So keeping that in mind, if your goal is to get your weight that you’re carrying in down… and to hop around and not be restricted to one tree.. the .5 with medium seat is the best stand for that in my opinion. But if you’re not worried about weight savings, and you’re not hiking a whole lot and you just want a light option, I’d look at the .75, if not the 1.0. You can get the 1.0 with a medium seat… and you’re looking at just a few minor ounce different in weight. It’s like 3 or 4 ounces if I remember correctly between the .75 and 1.0 with the same seat options. The 1.0 looks bigger in weight on website because it comes standard with the large seat. But honestly getting the medium seat matches the weight almost perfectly to the .75… and adds some width that if you’re really nervous in a tree might help you out. Being 5’6… the seat post options would all probably be just find in the standard configurations. And being 218lbs size 10 you will have good room in all stands for foot room, but the 1.0 might offer more width security for you and make the transition easier.

I agree. The grommet holes match up for either the long or compact sticks. I don’t think they were designed to hold the sticks in rather just give an alignment for the j hooks or even maybe bungee or a rope/strap attachment. I don’t see any issues if I’m being honest. I believe they have made changes to the mesh seat. They had two seats that I saw break, but it was due to user error. They had slipped and fell onto the seat and it cracked some where. I don’t remember. And the mesh, while toe hooking, you put all your weight on that mesh on a knee point. Over time I could see that “stretching” but I think lwcg made changes to their bar to help eliminate that.

Was just trying to see what your demands of the stand would be to make a best recommendation. If you’re not bouncing around a lot or doing multiple set ups a day or if you think it just adds a super cool look and feel I’d ask about just painting it your self and adding minimal strips. Where if you’re bouncing around a lot, and you want to set up quick and fast and speed is a factor I’d say more. Because if you’re in a hurry or you want to be quicker… that’s when you’re at most risk of noise. But if you’re just taking your time and being careful. You need less of it.
