I've had my .5 for a couple weeks now and it's been fantastic. Really happy with it overall. Good review of the seat options. I am 5'8" 180 lbs, so I have the 18" (standard) post height and standard seat, but I think I'd recommend the 22" post height and possibly a larger seat for those who are taller/bigger than me.

The .75 seat to me is the best option. It’s just as comfortable as the 1.0 imo, but it’s .5 lbs less in weight.

So, you don't find the standard seat too small? I see a lot of guys going to the .75 seat on their .5's, but I'm not sure if someone my size would benefit from the larger seat or not. I'm 5'6" and 175lbs.

I bought a .5 and could not handle the seat let’s went to sleep after 45 mins or so but I’m a sitter I don’t like standing. I have a large seat otw to try.

Good vid man. I'm having a lot of trouble deciding which seat to get for the .5. When you switched from the standard seat to the .75 seat, did the extra 3/4in of the .75 seat make it feel like you had less room while standing?

Honestly you don’t really notice. When standing I suggest folding the seat up, when you do this you can really utilize all of the platform. There’s room to move around even with the seat down… I have another video that shows both stands side by side with the .75 seat on it. And you can see exactly how much room I have in the stand.

@@michigangrownoutdoors7254 I saw your other video and it doesn't look bad at all. I was pretty set on the .5 seat, but I think I want the extra size of the .75. I'm going to use it with a saddle, and I sit a lot, so I want to make sure I have enough seat for my knees to rest on. Your vids have helped a lot, thanks!

You said the mesh seat is not durable ? Are you referring to not being able to toe cam with it or just normal ware and tear ?

I believe they have made changes to the mesh seat. They had two seats that I saw break, but it was due to user error. They had slipped and fell onto the seat and it cracked some where. I don’t remember. And the mesh, while toe hooking, you put all your weight on that mesh on a knee point. Over time I could see that “stretching” but I think lwcg made changes to their bar to help eliminate that.

Does the 1 inch larger and wider seat of the “medium” vs the “small” that comes with the .5 make a lotta difference to you? I have an original .5 and I’m debating getting a larger seat. I already got the 22 inch post.

Yes. The .75 is like night and day. Sorry I just saw this comment for some reason I wasn’t alerted to it. But with the .5 when I sit on it… I feel myself almost sliding to one side or the other as I turn my head and look around. Idk if that sounds right to you or not… but the .75 has none of that.
