What to do if bearing is loose and is falling out? How can i tighten it? Its almost as if bearing became too small od something, this ring that tightens on doesnt really help
@mechanicvance248020 сағат бұрын
If its the bearing that came with the bike then its probably worn out or missing some ball bearings. Take it out and look at it really close. I would replace it either way, if your questioning it and your that far in why chance it. Hope that helps.

Mowing is relaxing to watch, too bad Cubs don't have cup holders. Is that the starter rod hanging down??
@mechanicvance2480Ай бұрын
@@stevek8829 probably why I don’t mind doing it as much. The rod hanging down under the tractor is the battery box lid. I have it but due to the ongoing electrical issue of not charging I leave it off to plug the tractor in from time to time.

I was going to suggest that you should get the cold smoker attachment that goes on the side. It hold more chips and works great if you're doing cheese or a long cold smoke on fish, other than that it just is nice that you don't have to keep filling your chips up all the time.

My master belt is just like this one except it has a solid door. It will trip the breaker after about 10 hours. The breaker is a arc fault interrupt as required by code 2 years ago. It is 15 amp. I’m thinking that I’ve got a shorted element. do you have any ideas?
@mechanicvance24806 ай бұрын
@@peterhaughton8110 sounds like your more educated then I on the matter but yeah I think that’s reasonable, or your breaker is wearing out . 10 hours is a heck of a long time to have your smoker on, what are you cooking?
@peterhaughton81106 ай бұрын
Usually a butt or a picnic. The set temp is usually around 210 to 220 the weight of the meat or often times have me on a 16 hour cook time to get to the plateau of 195. These 800 W heating elements should not pull more than 6 A. That is using ohms law at 115 V minimum. At 66 years old, having been working on cars, including EV’s and hybrids on a professional level for the last 50 years, and having always loved science, physics, and electricity, this stuff makes sense to me and I can work it out in my head . The new house which we are living in, has what are known as arc fault breakers. Typical of the federal government trying to protect us from ourselves, they will trip if you look at them sideways while holding a hairdryer. I can actually think of a scenario where I could hook a digital storage oscilloscope the fault to determine what caused the breaker to trip. But, I would rather drink beer, catch, catfish, and cook chicken wings on my dock.

Yeah everything’s working fine with it, used it about a dozen times with no problems.
@peterhaughton81106 ай бұрын
It is only 800 W at 120 V. You could probably get by with 18 gauge wire for that distance for years and years without overloading the circuit. I don’t know what wire gauge is with the kit, but I’m sure that it is sufficient.

Is this car eating oil? 6.5qt went in and only about 4qt went out! Yes, I made sure car was warm before draining, yes I opened the drain under the hood, car was sloping a bit back at around 15-20 degrees (where the plug is), yes waited 10min or so for all oil to drain and even poured half a cup of fresh oil to "flush" a bit. Is this normal? Thanks. P.S. Regularly check oil levels and did have to add oil in between changes, but not a lot. Never saw an oil spill under the car.

Hi. Nice video! Please I have some questions that you might help me with. I have a Schwinn Santis and the bottom bracket looks a lot like this one. 1. Is this bike in the video also a Schwinn bike? If so would you know if this uses the same bottom bracket of a Schwinn Santis? 2. What is the internal diameter of the bottom bracket housing on the frame of the bike on the video (where you screw in the bottom bracket itself)? 3. I believe the Santis also uses a non sealed bottom bracket. If so, I would like to replace mine with a sealed one. Please which Shimano sealed bottom bracket part would you recommend? 4. Do you have the link to the tool kit that you mentioned from Amazon? Thank you very much for your time and support! Fabio

The 35 you’re referring to is the torque spec in Newton meters of the oil filter housing which is about 26 Ft lbs. The size of the plastic “nut” on the filter housing is a 27mm. You’re correct it’s a 17mm oil drain plug and the torque can remain the same but not over 30 Ft lbs with the new crush washer. Another trick to pouring the oil from the gallon jug is to pour it sideways instead. This keeps it from gurgling or missing the funnel and more control. I learned this in the 1970’s when pouring antifreeze into a radiator and of course there were no spouts then but sideways kept it from spilling all over the front of the car but found this useful when dealing with gallon containers of oil too. The only other socket required is a 10mm to remove the bottom plastic skid cover plate.

Thanks for the video. My burner seems to be getting a bit weak so I'll be tackling this soon. I have a slightly different model but it looks almost identical. One trick I've learned for cleaning the glass door, use a vinegar/water mixture. Spray it on the glass and let it soak a few minutes. Come back a bit later, spray it again and scrub with a toothbrush. Keep a cup or bowl of water to rinse the brush periodically. It'll get pretty much all the crud off, but honestly, it's not worth the time and effort trying to keep it clean. After one use it'll look the same way again!

The mower deck on my Cub Cadet lawn tractor is pretty similar on install/removal. Mine had those stupid butterfly type clips on it like the front deck rod on your D105 has, I quickly replaced those with the regular cotter pins, makes install and removal of the deck so much easier and quicker, not that it takes very long anyways, but the creative language used in removing those butterfly clips is no longer necessary LOL. I have a Kubota BX2680 with the 60" mid mount mower and you ain't picking it up and sliding it around very easily, but the anti-scalp wheels on it will swivel 90 degrees and you can very easily roll the deck in and out from under the tractor. Hookup of the deck is a couple of quick release spring pins on the lift arms, and a front bracket as well as a PTO shaft...very easy 5 minute install/removal at most....the deck on my Cub Cadet don't take long to install or remove either, but I can pick it up and carry it unlike the deck for my tractor.
