The Vortek PG4 kit will give a smoother shooting cycle with less noise but the recoil won't be a big difference. Cheers!

Those targets are nice but way to easy to nail them. I did mount an iron plate with smaler holes behind the original holes. Starting with 6, 8, 10, 12. and a 14mm. hole. On a day with no wind the 6mm is no big issue on 30 yards with one of my HW springers Cheers Buddy!

Used to have a 2240XL which had the steel breech preinstalled, I put a 10" barrel on it, and I loved that gun! Then it got stored in a humid place, rusted up pretty bad, was saveable though but then I lost it somehow. I really wanted a custom shop gun, but now that's closed for good. They've gone up a lot in price too, will probably have to start with a plastic breech gun and upgrade, as I can't afford a 2240XL and you have to get that third party, Crosman doesn't sell it direct.

Should be plenty. I was using JSB and switched to H&N after and had trouble with the same aim point and hold over despite being similar weights. I think the H&N lead make up results in slower speed and reduced power compared to the softer JSB? When I fitted the Vortek Kit I had the following chrono: 10.49gr at 10.7ftIbs 8.44gr at 11.8ftIbs I don't recall testing the 10.34gr JSB Heavy, or even shooting them much before this day for that matter so not sure where they are power wise?
