The "cheap" KODAK batteries I bought, in hope, failed miserably after a very short time and wouldn't even power my toothbrush .My gamble didn't pay off ! (Probably enough to power a camera however)

After having used Kirkland batteries for a few years, I threw them all out and will never install them in any device again. They seem to leak even more than the old lead acid batteries of the 1960s and will destroy almost anything they are installed in. There are several discount batteries that I use and buy in bulk, with good results, but Kirklands are not one of them.

Thanks for answering my question about "cheap vs. expensive" filters! We have no pets, very little carpeting, so dust isn't much of an issue. Cheap filter it is!!! 👍

They're probably made in the same factory with identical internal chemistry.

I am going paint a small piece of ash wood with flat white latex and then a gloss poly after. This wood is for interior use and I am wondering if I really need to use a primer. What would you recommend?

Well, Duracell makes the Kirkland batteries.

At the moment I wouldn't be a member of Costco, etc. because it wouldn't pay for itself yet. But I've experience Costco-branded things when other people have supplied them and this is one pleasant thing about Costco: their products (at least the ones I've encountered) are of really good quality! For example: their pizza, cake, and shepherd's pie! Yeah, just because ya sell bulk inexpensively doesn't mean it's gonna be crap!

MDF is crap. If that was natural wood, it likely would have been a cosmetic fix. Garbage product, imo.

But I guess I'm not like everybody else, because I think that's a lot of landfill. Two billion batteries per year is way too much landfill. I buy rechargeable batteries, and some of them are over 20 years old and still working fine. So what are we all going to drown in? Dead batteries? I think we're all going to end up like the mammals, wrapped in plastic. Because on trash day, plastic is what's keeping the plastic lid on the plastic trash can from closing.

Painters tape sucks for baseboards. At 5:27 you can clearly see that the tape let the paint leak through onto the gray transitional area and now it needs to scraped off.

@danielbal527221 сағат бұрын
I think you should do another test with a device that has a much greater load. Something that will kill the batteries in a few hours. One battery may flow higher current much more efficiently than the other.

Thank you very much for all the great tips. They have -really- helped a lot. One more that has worked for me: I was having trouble getting the odd bit of caulking on an already painted wall after changing some trim. The caulk would occasionally squeeze out on either side of my finger (half onto the wall) whenever I used a bit too much, thanks to the gap varying a lot in size. I discovered that if I rolled my finger when I swiped so that I was pushing the caulk into the gap and away from the wall, there was basically no chance I'd get any on the wall.

I learned year ago to generally buy Everready batteries. They own patent on a sealing system that almost guarantees no leaks. Duracell, on the other hand, has no such seal design, and no such guarantee.

Great video! Finally a video that explicitly states the importance of not using just any old extension cable through the wall cavity especially around insulation. One thing that you could improve on is to drop the measurements of the holes to cut out so if someone is waiting on shipping, they can still finish their wall by the time the product arrives.
@total2199Күн бұрын
Yah….you can easily fix it from below….if you do not have insulation between joists 😢

When jamming/binding happens and the blade stalls, hopefully without no kickbacks, what do I do? turn the machine back on and try to get it out of keep it turned off and force it out of there? no one talks about this.

"solid wood" then shows MDF. The biggest mistake is using that toxic thick cardboard crap that is MDF. If you just used proper wood and painted the entire piece on all sides, to seal it, before attaching it to the rest of the door frame, you wouldn't have a problem with water soaking into it.
