I have several 2 point slings. Just have to figure out a way to run one on my LWRCi M6IC DI with the proprietary rail and AFG. The rear of the AFG has a QD mount so I have to figure out how to size a T1C sling to work, I have to cinch up my Ferro Concepts to carry and extend to mount the rifle. I already have one on my lightweight build, 300 blackout and Galil Ace.

This position is known as Air Marshal ready. It is meant to be used when the threat is close and full extension puts you at a disadvantage for a gun grab. It is meant to teach one how to index the pistol off the central position of their body, and work the trigger for relatively consistent hits. Don't over think it, it is meant to be nothing but a moment in time.

Gel testing done bye arfcom, quite a few years ago. With black hills 556 fifty grain optimized tsx bullets out of a ten and a half or eleven and a half inch barrel, his results were phenomenal 4 that load, i don't know if you do this type of testing, or if you might suggest it's a someone so we could get some videos on the 7 and a 1/2 inch barrel, with some different loads. I would definitely like to see something with the above. Mention load?Because I think it would be tremendous. Thanks again for the great work. You do, I'll be looking forward to watching more

I wish I could afford to do that type of testing but I can't. I've trained with enough people who would say the same thing that I'm about to say to you. Put holes where holes don't be long and the fight is over with. The caliber and velocity of the round is irrelevant at that point

@PerkShoots Watch this video. Frank Proctor, who is a USPSA Grand Master, does a way better job of teaching the technique with the correct talking points. I did three videos of his classes, he's a decent teacher of the hybrid between Competitive and Tactical Shooting. Several guys in this class were active duty SOF Operators. It was cool training with them, they had a lot of knowledge to share. Frank always has active duty folks coming to train with him because he merges competition and tactical so seamlessly. kzbin.infoE6bj7vqKnUk
@PerkShoots4 күн бұрын
@@Tier1Citizen Sure, Frank is a legend and puts out great info. I personally don't care you had active-duty SOF in a class you took. Telling someone to shoot on a cadence is almost always bad instruction, especially if you're providing no input into what the shooter should be evaluating. I don't think Frank telling folks to shoot a cadence: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnStkneMrLqejLc The video you shared has no instruction related to cadence shooting
@Tier1Citizen4 күн бұрын
@PerkShoots you are clearly looking for a reason to start calling me names. Don't act like you're not, because I know better. The video from Frank Proctor goes into target transition / cadence drill, at time index 1:05. Maybe the following video from Ben Stoeger will drive the point home. Coincidentally it is the same point that Joey Glover made at Tactical Response and Frank Proctor made at Way of the Gun. Maybe now you'll accept it from Ben Stoeger. Perhaps this video will help you understand what Joey meant when he referred to is as a cadence drill. It should actually be called a "Target Transition Drill" or as some call it, a "Dot Tracking Drill." But, cadence drill is just the old name for tracking your optic from target to target, while not dwelling on one spot. I trust the attached video will prove the point. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6mspIadqrSMnac

(Malfunction) My question is, if you dont get an immediate clear upon tap/wrack. Would you say its beneficial to start running/creating distance while trying to clear a malfunction, i often see classes that have this approach of staying still to to clear malfunctions (which i think can mostly be practiced at home), is there classes that do this malfunction training with a different scenario forcing you to run “away”. This leads up to my next theory that carrying a gun requires some fitness levels. I often train 20-40 yard sprints by itself with a functional aspect of looking behind me, right, left to make sure I dont loose sight.
@Tier1Citizen6 күн бұрын
@zklnsgng yes, in fact the phrase is known as "transition to Nike." The reason that quite often training does not ask the student to run is because most ranges don't have enough room to have people run anywhere. I have done classes where we did do that and it is definitely a good practice to get into.
@zklnsgng6 күн бұрын
@ was just wondering, would you say it’s fair for for people who are teaching these classes to instead of doing static malfunction clearing(MFC), instead do dynamical on the move MFC at those classes to open up space for changes in environment (barrels or other obstructions). I guess what im trying to get at is doing malfunction drills on static ranges (at your home range) or at home (snapcaps and empty brass), and doing more complex MFD drills at classes more worth the $$
