Muzzle strikes are/were a big part of the Dieter curricula taught to MIL along with "box drills." Like any combative application, there are benefits and risks that should be explored. Understanding concepts like readiness, conflict mechanics, and feeder mindset are more valuable, in my opinion. Controlling the flow of events will get one further than any technique. An instructor of mine used to say, "If you find yourself in that situation, there were other mistakes made that got you there" 🇺🇸

This type of thing is difficult to find anymore. Almost everybody nowadays is focused on competitive shooting and has no clue how to even teach this sort of thing. Combatives is a skillset that is needed but woefully misunderstood.
