The word "conman" comes from the abbreviation confidence man. Someone who engenders confidence for personal profit. Not an historically unknown practice. How often does advertising use authorities to engender confidence for persuasion purposes, Dr. XYZ says, experts say, 97% of all scientists believe, a new study reports, A new study published in Journal XYZ states...etc.

Another comment on an unused type of energy. You can use hydride, which is hydrogen stored as hydride in tanks (like the ones that fill up balloons). You need a particle accelerator and a banned element that is used in nuclear weapons, then you can make this fuel for cars. The tanks do not explode if impacted or even from bullets....very safe. Only issue is to design a well-functioning device to alert of any hydrogen leaking in car, linked to an alarm. ITs an unlikely danger and the driver would be alerted so quickly they could turn off the vehicle and leave it with windows open till the alarm shut off. A tank would take you hundreds of KM or Miles, and without using any of the fossil fuels. You can also create a hybrid car where you can switch over between fuels. Not difficult.

I was there as a 17 year old boy when The Guess Who played at the point of the mountain in Utah. After a song Randy Bockman started calling everyone in the audience a bunch of drunks. Burton Cummings started getting after him and they started arguing on stage. Later while on a Mormon mission my companion who was from Canada told me he was at a Mormon fireside where Bockman told the story of his Pat. What a privilege to listen to Michael. I read his first book years ago and never allowed the Appocalyptic Church of Climate to scare me or convince me that humans are evil destroyers. People who are panicked make very bad decisions. We need optimism.

This so worries me because I have a severe mental illness. I am a woman with bipolar who was hospitalized over much of 12 years and attempted suicide a few times - hanging, gunshot. It was hell..agony all the time. Then a treatment worked and years later I've been happy to be alive. I'm worried because with gender dysphoria, for example, it is now in the DSM that you only have to feel dysphoric for 6months in order to be diagnosed and then be q affirmed go onto blockers, cross sex hormones or surgery. So what does the code mean by a person having an extensive history of suffering with a mental illness? What is an extensive history...how long? And how long before doctors argue that someone suffering for 6 months feels that is a long time.? Would I have qualified during those 12 years? Oh my, Dr Gupta just said if a patient is treatment resistant for 3 years or 6 years...I would have qualified over the 12 years and I'd be dead. I had so much help and support and that kept me alive during those years and everyone who suffers with mental illness needs that.
