This is a very important topic. Watching what is happening in Britain in regards to censorship and so-called 'hate speech' is very disturbing. Governments should never have that much power.

In Western Canada, we are rapidly losing coverage of local issues because media companies are shutting down and CBC isn't filling the void. Local news has become nothing more than reporters reporting on what they find on twitter. My city council went from surpluses to projecting a budget deficit and there was very little coverage about it. I have to spend hours listening into council meetings to find out what's happening - journalists used to report on council meetings and it just seems absent these days. Even when I pay for my local media agency, I don't get my money's worth.

There's no way that CTV edit could have been a mistake. Some one judged that to be a good idea . That person needs to be fired.
