Very comforting to know your Beater-M-W is a jankie P.O.S. like my 2011 328i.

Wow!....This is pretty sad if you have to purchase a 15 year old Rolls and then you have to have a co owner in order to afford the car....and then you experience these problems?.......Did You ever stop to think that this is Karma and maybe the universe is trying to tell you to live within your means and stop trying to empress others?....I have 4 and I paid cash for all of them but I would never buy one if I knew it was above my living standards....besides aren't all cars just glorified Taxi Cabs anyway and they all take us wear we need to go?..........I don't think having a co owner was a wise thing to do AT ALL!.....

Was shocked at the loud thumping every time the car encountered uneven pavement. This was obviously felt by the driver too as the image from his head-mounted camera bounced simultaneously. Was the air-suspension system functioning correctly? Very disappointing.

We also love our 2010 Ghost. We happily added an extended warranty for peace of mind. We select where we choose to take it, because we fear bad parking choices.

I could not agree with every point you made in this entire video! I bought a 2012 Ghost and have put about 8k miles a year for the past two years. Got it with 24k miles and it has been an awesome daily driver. The main "down" side to daily drive it is definitely the attention it gets. I have two Ferrari's, a Porsche, Maserati and an i7 BMW and NONE of them get the attention that the Rolls gets! I can't get gas without somebody asking me for a job or asking me how much I make and how much the car cost. Crazy to think I have never been asked that in either Ferrari. Great review and spot on!!

As a mechanic, I wouldn’t expect the person doing the inspection to have noticed the speaker problem because they’re in a shop turning the speakers on listening for short amount of time just to make sure they work and if it’s an issue like you said, with the sound being pumped in from the engine, that would be difficult for them to hear it’s something you should’ve noticed on your 24ht drive. Also with the parking break they’re testing the parking break on a flat surface in a garage. Generally they don’t get to drive all over Kingdom. Come trying it different parking grades, and everything else it’s done in a garage and you try to pull away at idle if it holds, it’s fine. I think people expect mechanics to be miracle workers when they have limited amount of time to find issues. That’s why you’re given the 90 days to bring it back and get it fixed because everyone knows they can’t find everything wrong. but you bought a BMW I don’t know what you expect

Just like Porsche 924 , it’s a Porsche with Audi engine , or my GLC 300 Mercedes with Renault engine … it all has good and bad things about it , it’s not the “real thing “ , but at the same time , you’re not paying premium price … at the moment I drive Mercedes S550 , and it’s a 100% Mercedes , made in Stuttgart , and that’s how I like it … if I buy a Rolls Royce, it’ll be a 1950’s Silver Cloud 1 with inline 6 Rolls Royce engine …

The N63 had class-action lawsuits against it and is known to be one of the worst engines BMW ever made, as you mentioned. The N63TU (and its subsequent technical updates TU1, TU2, etc.) is one of the best. The TU engine was introduced in mid-2012 for the 2013 models, and is still in use today. I recently bought a 2013 750iX with 100,000 miles / 160,000 km, kept in immaculate condition with no known major repairs or engine problems. I was already going to do a baseline maintenance sweep to get it in 'new' condition as it relates to my ownership, but was driving it quite hard in the meantime as the 4.4L Twin Turbo V8 putting out ~450hp is just too much to resist. I got a misfire code for cylinder #2, replaced all the spark plugs and ignition coils (which was part of the maintenance sweep anyway), and haven't had an issue since, albeit that was only 2 months ago. The original coils were still installed as they had a 2013 manufacture date printed on them, except for one which had a 2016 date. Yes, it was in cylinder #2. Many online said that beast of an engine would never give 100k life to spark plugs and coils, but this one certainly did. The spark plugs were still in pretty good shape. The misfiring spark plug had signs of blow-by as well, so could be a small fault in the threads or improper technique from the previous work. The sound system is very impressive, but not quite matching the reference-grade Kenwood/Focal system I installed on my previous car. The ride is exceptionally comfortable. Road noise is nearly non-existent. The screen can easily be upgraded to something more modern, both aesthetically and technically (e.g. with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration) while maintaining a stock look. The personal touches are numerous (read the entire owner's manual) and the luxury factor is high. The value ratio on these old big body top-end luxury sedans is through the roof. The car has 5 driving modes: Eco Pro, Comfort+, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+. Changes are made to the drivetrain and suspension, which optionally appear on the iDrive screen, and you can easily feel the stiffness in the suspension change when switching between Sport and Comfort. Sport+ directs 80% of the power to RWD and removes traction control; again, this is noticeable with the feeling of being pushed rather forcefully from the rear during hard acceleration. I would highly recommend buying one if you know what to look for, and the video should really be narrowed to say NEVER buy this specific, and quite limited, range of BMW.
