All those options would get you on the ground under me and you would be in a much worse position in my full nelson

Two things to note: An attacker with a knife is willing to kill you. If attacked with a knife, you will get cut. But as Matt told us, we can then escape if we do it right. Yes, that is real experience talking here. I got cut on the leg. He got worse than I did. I was unarmed. He was a robber.

…or going even further, on crutches or in a wheelchair. I’m not making a joke. I think there’s a legitimate need for a limited number of defensive moves in any situation.
@benb596029 күн бұрын
Great info. There are many situations where you’re limited besides injury: protecting loved ones, protecting firearm from grabs, communicating for help, etc. Maybe do a video for injured leg or restricted movement also. Thanks

Ive found joint locks in live fight training do work, but they are more rare, the chokes tend to come easier, and of course strikes and kicks are easiest, however super risky. Nice video. I would bring all those arm locks a bit closer to your body to use more leverage.

I agree with learning Krav Maga. But I do not believe in using it. I was five years old when I started out in martial arts. By eight I had already won six local championships in a row. With my first championship as a white belt. At first, I wanted to quickly succeed and get that black belt, but something changed after I received my purple belt. I did not want to further advance. It was because I felt I did not deserve it. I was honestly the best in the class and the only child allowed to attend adult classes. And still, I did not believe that I deserved a black belt. Therefore I put off getting my green belt and brown belt. Today at 45 years old, I have practiced many different types of martial arts, mixed martial arts. Well, let’s put it this way. I still don’t have a black belt in anything I ever practiced. It could be that one day it’s possible I’ll get my black belt. If I can beat the best. At 45 that’s highly doubtful! Yes all excellent techniques to take out an opponent. But the law requires us not to engage. Therefore if I can step away from the situation without incident, that’s what I do. Along with a little head game play. It comes with the sport!

@marcuskruger7567Ай бұрын
How about diplomacy? Talk to the person first. But if they don't want to talk and listen to reason and they strike first not you then you can start doing what you need to do to get them to stop and then get out of the situation and call the cops.

@@marcuskruger7567you may not get the opportunity to strike back, you’re assuming they’re going to fight fair and by your rules if it escalates.

When showing an oblique kick, first use slow motion without a pad. Also show the preferred line of contact.
