I bought this guy mid leaf season knowing we would need it for mainly mowing, this is a great blower but you will not be able to large cleanups just small debris and clippings. In my area they are banning gas blowers so we will see how that goes next spring.

Echo's coming out with a 7700 In 2025. It's going to have higher air speed and have the maxout technology and be water resistant and it's going to have the same level of performance as a 770 For $700 without batteries. Unfortunately we're going in reverse in terms of performance compared to the 8010-9010 we've all become used to using now. The prices for leaf cleanups are going to go way up for the customer because it's going to take so much longer to do the work.

What size deck is that? How did you mount the trac vac on the mower deck? My hoses need replaced which ones are those?
@sololawnprofessional6 күн бұрын
The mower is a 36.When I bought the track vac originally it came with the hardware to mount it to either a 48 or 36. The blue hose I bought 15 years ago online. It's highly puncture resistant. The 8-in deck hose is original. I'll have to track down where I bought it from and I'll link it here later if I can find it.

@ I have the model 385. That’s the pull behind one. I have a stander mower and it’s not working out. Can I use model 385 for walk behind you think?
@sololawnprofessional3 күн бұрын
I've been looking at the different parts list for the trac vac. You can order the 470 parts or a stander model but I think it would be just easier to get a trailer hitch for the stander and tow it around. That's going to be way cheaper than trying to retrofit something or buying the parts. I know backing up will be a problem with the stander with the trailer setup, but at least you could use it right away rather than trying to figure something out this season. Also, I don't know if you can even buy the parts. I think I tried calling them last year but no one answered the phone.

@sololawnprofessional i hesistate with kress kc270, 5 years warranty
@sololawnprofessional5 күн бұрын
If you're going to be buying a commercial model, I wouldn't worry about the warranty so much because they're designed to last and be abused. I would be more thinking about what brand you plan on investing in the batteries because that's where you're going to need to buy a lot of to run this equipment. Because it takes more than one battery to use throughout the day. So I have seven e-force batteries to get through my day. I'm not going to be investing in any other type of equipment that can't use the same batteries.

I wonder how well this will work with wet slushy snow? I have a 2 stage gas-powered snow blower, and it gets cloged in the impeller with wet slushy snow. Im debating on buying the PATH-PRO 208 ELECTRIC START WITH REMOTE CHUTE Model #938033
@sololawnprofessional10 күн бұрын
The path pros are excellent plenty of power to throw basically heavy wet snow to watery slush without any trouble. I do spray the shoot down with a non-stick spray because it can clog but not in the same way as a two-stage and you can easily just knock out the plug with your hand. You don't need a special tool like you do with the two-stage or have to worry about losing your fingers if you try to dig it out by hand. I have two path pros, one with the remote shoot and the hand control. I love the remote shoot but it's always out of adjustment. It has a push pull cable design and it's not really a great setup. I prefer the hand adjust because it's reliable for all the driveways I'm doing during a storm. My path pro with remote shoot I bought when it first came out maybe 10 years ago so they may have sorted out the cable issue by now but I don't.

@shanew7361 any single stage snow blower with over 200cc engine from name brand company that you can trust is going to have the same capabilities, so that Toro would be a good choice, and we'll have a very nice easy to use remote chute.

What are the benefits of using the edgit?
@sololawnprofessional14 күн бұрын
There are two main benefits. When you use the string trimmer to maintain the edges along sideways and curbs, the edgit really does take the strain off your back, You don't have to carry the trimmer. You can just sit the disc in the groove and walk along. The engine puts in effect on the grass much like a lawn mower deck pulling the grass into the string in my opinion, giving the Cut turf a better looking appearance. The one negative you are adding weight to the front of the trimmer if you weren't using the trimmer guard before installing the edgit.

this tiller is totally useless if your soil is clay type or compacted. I was only able to scrape the top at less than one inch and with too much effort but little or no gain. Its design of the tines (angle of penetration, etc) is horrible and thus makes it super difficult to dig deep in hard soil. The Honda engine and its functionality is excellent but the overall result on tilling hard soil is not good. There are other tiller manufacturers (at half the price of this tiller) that perform exceptionally well on clay/hard soils.
@sololawnprofessional27 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment. If you're trying to create a garden in native soil that has not been turned over, it's going to be difficult no matter what tiller you have. Whether it's counter rotating tines or standard direction, the best solution would be to hire a company with a machine that can turn the soil over for you and add the proper amendments to create a nice planting area and then use the regular tiller to till the soil every season. In this case a tiller that's half the price would work fine. If you need a tiller that's going to last 30 years, there's nothing better than this Honda,Troy bilt horse and or the BCS tiller you're going to have to spend the right amount of money if you want the equipment to last.

Hey solo what’s your take on a walk-behind leaf vacuum, like the Billy goats
@sololawnprofessionalАй бұрын
Don't buy one of these. They're a huge waste of time, they do a great job of collecting leaves, especially the commercial, Billy goats or Little Wonder. But it's so slow and unless someone wants the perfect lawns, it's not worth the time and money to do the job with the vacuum. If the leaves aren't terrible, just blow them to the center, grind them up with the mower and just blow the debris away or collect it with the grass catcher. I had a Craftsman leaf vacuum when I first started. I thought it was going to be the greatest thing ever, but it's just so slow, Even slower than just using a push mower. I stopped using them it went I realized you could just grind the leaves up with a lawn mower.

No the hopper has a vent on top that blows the dust out to the left and up away from you. The reason why it's so dusty in the video is I'm grinding the leaves up before, I start up the vac. So I can save space in the hopper.

Where are you disposing of your leaves in your region how much is a trailer weigh fully loaded
@sololawnprofessionalАй бұрын
This is a local recycling place and they have a flat fee to dump So there's no weight in. My estimate for the weight will be 600 to 800 lbs. Based on how much my mower weighs 1000 lbs and I know how the truck feels with the mower on there and the leaf box and everything feels like a weights less.

yep, it sucks that the government can ban the sale of gas leaf blowers and gas equipment in general. feels very much like an over reach. but I am interested in seeing just how far battery can go. Ego just unveiled a new blower that claims to put out 1100 cfm! that's very impressive if true. but as for right now, gas is king and I plan on getting myself a 9010 as soon as there's a sale! 🤑
@sololawnprofessionalАй бұрын
The 9010/8010 are awesome and highly recommended them The problem with the battery blowers they're making these big claims about CFM but they do not have high air speed and you need both to have a very powerful blower. The ego 1000 CFM blower is only putting out 32 Newtons the 9010 with its 1100 CFM is putting out 48 newtons That's a huge difference.
