i dont think there are any effective adds for people like me/us who are a certain kinda way. debbi or whatever her name is to me is kinda cool. and im 34 years old. yes i find it kinda disgusting how often you showed "her hole" in this video! :D its not something you wanna look at.... but watching trough it is like some artsy/brutal boddyhorror kinda movie. im seeing the coolest lady ever on the planet. here in germany they showed us anti-drug adds in biology class and i just remember huge amounts of bloody people and blood gushing everywhere.. :D i only know they traumatized me with it, but i know it did absolutly nothing to stop me from doing a lot of drugs.

Listen I despise Rob as much as any sane person should. But getting butthurt at comedy for being ableist or whatever phopic word is so hyper cringe. Asian good at computer jokes are the least of your problems

Great video! Though I fundamentally disagree with majority of what is said here. It’s still an invigorating watch, so thanks! ☺️ I will say that a lot in here was off the mark because what you’ve used of his is missed, glossed over detailed or just left out. Just a few I picked up while watching. 1. Campbell never said all stories fit in this mold. He said he’s found stories in every culture that shares these same motifs and patterns and are subject to change. What we’ve seen in tv and film since then is a calcified capitalistic template because it appeals to our nature of story telling. 2. One of his favorite cultures were the Native Americans which is what got him interested in myth. A race (of which I am 27%) that was basically wiped out. And in the beginning of one of these interviews you’re using he even reads the quotes from a chief about the sadness of the white man over using mother earths resources. This is a far cry from you saying Campbell thinks someone at the top of the social system deserves to be there because …. 3. Even with calamity, Campbell did say life is great just the way it is, but you left out what he said right after: you participate in the world to do the best you can to make it lean towards the good (paraphrasing). He’s talking about understanding the cycles of the opposites (good and evil in this case) and working in accord with them in order to find your center and in that you help the work by being better. Some call that the Bodhisattva (me, as a Buddhist) others call it Christhood or any iteration of belief but since the Christ part was illuminated here (pun intended lol)….. 4. In no way did he say Christ or Christianity was the pinnacle of what other beliefs should be compared to, he left the church and stoped believing in a personal god (also mentioned in the videos you used here). There are lectures from the 70s and 80s were he leaned hard towards Buddhism and Hinduism as more beneficial because it was a belief of the collective. For this id point to the “Pathways “ podcast Ep 30. Called Jesus Buddha and Europe. These are a few that stuck with me that when put into context it shifts the info received from him. Quickly a couple other notes. • he was pro choice so freedom and individuality for women was important. • he said women should right the Heroines Journey as he can’t speak for them, since he’s male. • There was a story told by a friend of his still alive today that he stumbled on Joseph at a cafe reading and beaming from ear to ear exclaiming “someone pointed out a fault in my argument !” So I’d say he’d appreciate this video! Wishing you well! 🙏🏽

The reason I don't do drugs is because my father is a lifelong smoking addict and his lungs are a time bomb. It's horrible knowing how someone will die, but not when.

I guess the thing is, probably around 90% of the actors involved in the "just say No" ads were clearly drug users themselves. at the time. kids have a kind of sixth sense for that kind of thing. it just doesn't ring true

"Green Power Glove" Freddie Sykes' character may be named after Edmund O'Brien's in The Wild Bunch. Freddie is the only survivor of The Bunch at the end, along with the turncoat(?)Robert Ryan's role of Deke Thornton. Deke is redeemed by joining Freddie in the fight against tyranny with the Zapatista like Puro Indio seen earlier at the weapons exchange.

this video is six years old, and MMF usually knocks it out of the park, but that Ed Wood take on not empathizing with Ed's counterculture otherness in favour of fetishising the houses??? i guess that's true if the scene with Ed's house is the only one you watched, but that movie has an overwhelming fondness of outcasts in all their forms. very strange take that feels aimed at people who haven't seen the movie to make the overarching argument stronger

Really aprreciated your angle, Lych gave me so many conflicting emotions over the years, I really feel like you can reduce Twin Peaks to one big brain theory. Though that makes me wonder why he gave a list of clues for Mullholand Drive, do u think it was a bait?

Another problem with that one vape ad is the Wilhelm scream. I've heard that it was once a fun Easter egg for sound technicians, but now it's so overused that young people (the target audience of the ad) just see it is as cringe. This disgust toward the ad right at the end is probably perfectly crafted to make viewers want to do the opposite of what the ad says at face value.
