Hum, I am stumped to be such a downer after all. I didn't enjoy beyond much at all. 3rd time in a row it's some guy seeking revenge. It had it's moments, definitely, but like the other two movies before it, the plot was, in my eyes, boring and uninspired. Why did the bad guy have all these "bees" at his command? Why were all of them eager to fight and die for him? How many times can the enterprise been ripped to shreds? Why is Kirk such a Wonderboy, who knows what to do every time and can wrestle with superhumans all day, while every non important character is one shot by them? I can't get behind these movies, as much as I'd like to. .the action was entertaining, but everything else just seemed like an excuse to have it. The emotional development between Kirk, Scott, Phil and spok was compelling and Niemoi was the best part of the whole trilogy for me. Anyway the racism and sexism was also distracting and annoying. I wish we could do without that shit finally.

the homosexual/autogynephelia argument falls flat on its face when you consider asexual/aromantic people. There is at least one person out there who transitioned without it having ANYTHING AT ALL to do with sexual attraction. Not to mention nonbinary people who don't envision themselves as men or women. Of course the a-spectrum includes varying levels of sexual/romantic arousal/attraction, and the enby spectrum includes people who consider themselves male/female aligned but the point stands. The theory is so absurdly exclusive that it just sounds out of touch.
