Good video. Disappointed with a brand new bike...only 5 months old and skipping on the smallest cog at the back. Bike shop wants to charge me money to fix it. EDIT: Issue seems for me that several chain links had gone stiff. I hadn't oiled the chain since purchase 5 months ago. There were minor rust sections and raised links you could see from sideways. It was slipping mainly on the smallest cog I suppose because the smallest cog has the least surface area so when those seized and raised chain links went around it they just did not fit snug, whereas on the larger cogs with more surface area that wasn't so much a problem. I figured this out and fixed it myself before I had to go cap in hand to the bike shop. So...oil your chain kids.

Dip the chain in vinegar for just 5 mins and clean the loose rust using steel wool and detergent. Inspect and dip for another 5 mins in vinegar if required. Saw some people keep it over night which is a very bad idea. Don't forget to dry it quickly using a heat gun and oil it. Once chain has gathered rust, it is prone to catch rust again. This is because the outer rust protective layer(bluing - which is also used on rifle barrels) has been compromised.

My chain starts to climb the teeth on the lower pulley wheel and under load gets snapped back into place. Annoying!! I guess that means the pulley cage is misaligned?

I put a new chain on it's the correct length but it's skipping only on the smallest sprocket the one I usually ride on.. there's no skipping on the others do you know what might be the problem?

You’re comparing a minimalist pack to a backpack. They serve different purposes. I’m not sure if you know that Camelbak has a whole line of bags from minimalist to larger hiking backpacks.

one tip for all, dont soak overnight for the cassette lock ring, it corrodes it. doesnt matter but looks ugly.

You can use coka cola and pour it in ur chain ect,... and while ur rusty chain is wet just brush it
