The SLK R171 is a beautiful car, with the McLaren SLR looks. Its comfortable, refined, quick and that vario electronic roof is simply the b@mb! I love my 2006 plate SLK which is now 18 yrs old and still looks like new. Its a keeper and my everyday driver with 85k miles on the clock. But I must admit I do REALLY LIKE Porches, and would not rule out a Boxster or Cayman as an alternative car. . . Although not an 'S' model as the suspension apparently is as hard as granite bedrock. Thats why I like the SLK as its SOOoooo comfy! I've owned mine 4 years now, with NO complaints.

The S2000 can spend very brief instances on occasion at 10000+ RPM because they are extremely hard to rev match and extremely easy to money shift accidentally. The AP2 can handle it because people kept blowing engines up in the AP1 (which could not rev that high) and Honda decided to build the engine to take high RPMs

This review has not aged well like the SC430. It is a silky smooth GT like no other. It was never designed to be a sports coupe, it’s a GT. It will be a classic.
