Modern isekai is just using the same concept of either a neet, a perv, a wimp, a nice guy virgin, or a edgy wannabe villain becoming OP in another world with a 97% chance of getting a harem and they're always so identical to what average MC looks like and being OP is their whole trait. Wheather they are good, bad or pervs they are only known for being OP and getting a harem

The problem isn't isekai itself, like you mentioned yourself the opportunities are infinite. The problem is that it's the easy thing to do. Manhwa faces this same issue, there are infinite "tower climbing" stories and solo leveling lookalikes. And of course 90 percent of them are garbage, relying on the familiar prompts and small twists to draw people in. And to be fair 90 percent of all stories are probably garbage regardless of genre, but nobody reads those.

The first season was really awesome, but the second one was just boring, and apparently, the anime is going to keep going that way. So it falls more into the Tokyo Ghoul category-a strong start but then just goes downhill from there. At least for me.

Of course, you will need to put in some hard work while applying everything author mentions in these books, but I guarantee it's going to be worth while.

I’ve binged 30 chapters of the farmland arc in one night during the lockdown. Even that was a much simpler time. Vinland has some of the most gorgeous panels and engrossing writing ever.

I agree with everything you discussed in this excellent video. Fortunately, two goated Isekai, Jobless Reincarnation and Re:Zero, introduced me to this genre. You can recommend other Isekai that are as good as these two, and I will put them on my watchlist.

I dont want to be insensitive, but like 2020 was my jam im not gonna lie and for better or worse I still feel like its 2020 sometimes, better or worse.

While I still think violence has its place, Vinland Saga was amazing -- and also Vagabond. The strongest warrior is the one who doesn't even have to fight. Personally, I feel more connected to Berserk and it changed my life. It showed me that life is a struggle, and you have to go through it just to live and also to fulfill your purpose while forming meaningful relationships and helping and protecting each other out. Take heed, Struggler!

TYBW didn't fix any of the problems Bleach was cancelled for back in 2012, but it added some new ones. It's absolute ass. Apart from the animation quality it has nothing going for it. For all intents and purposes it's an endless flow of bad fight scenes without any rhyme or reason, many times between 2 characters we didn't even know existed the week before. Take for example the fight between Yhwach and Ichibe. Can that be called a fight at all? It's a lot of boring blabber about idiotic powers that make no sense, and the guy with the more idiotic powers wins without any effort or struggle. Whoop-de-do.
