While it is a bit of a piece of junk, I can return mine and get my money back. The cable end that you find so disparaging, plugs quite well into a camera connector. Take your digital camera plug and try it. I am off to return mine for a refund.

Im running a 750ti through displayport to my gsync monitor at 144 hz at 1080 and it does the job fine. for an old card its still a goody.

the mounting option is strange, the power cable placement is awkward & problematic. Most wifi cams in this price range have voice prompts for setup making is easier to set up. Finally the lack of a micro sd card slot is a "deal breaker"
