Yeah this card i very good still for 720p or 768p gaming. I already have seen the impact on lowing resolution on those budget cards from 1080p to 720p and the boost in fps is gigantic almost double the fps with same settings.

Yeah I maxed out the entire Crysis series with this card with a 1366x768 VGA monitor. Yes I am a gamer that still uses that video output but I don't care because this gpu makes me happy.

Your comment about being able to use PCI 3.0 cards on PCI 2.0 machine is extremely useful to me. I won't have to upgrade my system if that is the case, and get a new card with PCI 3.0 for my older system. This is very useful, sir. Thank you so much.

No problem! I did research myself before buying it to ensure compatibility. I'm rocking an ancient i5 2400 (I know it's old but still works great) and the PCIE 2.0 motherboard has minimal effect on the gaming performance. Np mate!

Its a little better i think becouse games on pc are terribly optimized so is not a fare comparison. The only well optimized game to do a good comparison is DOOM, game that easly get 30+ fps on pc with that card, not ultra but medium at 1080p and 60fps on 720p at same settings.

Nep-tune Sama Consoles don’t have uncapped frames. All their games are locked and I guarantee that if it were unlocked it would get more frames than a 750ti in probably every game.

hte reason their capped is so u dont notice the frame dips but if its capped at 30 fps it cause thats the most stable frame rate and same for 60 fps but the 750 ti does match the xbox ones power

Haha! Me, too. I run now on an old desktop getting 20 fps on low settings on Intel LGA 4600 integrated graphics. I have to say that those graphics and my computer served me well for a long, long time, but I can't play most new games, of course, only ones with dated graphics. I only play Rift which has relatively low requirements when on low settings. Well, it is coming time to upgrade but I need a new motherboard to be able to take any decent video card, because mine only takes PCIE 2.0, not 3.0 required by cards these days.

I'm not sure about all of the new graphics cards, but I know many don't require it but support it - like this card! So i'm running this on a PCIE 2.0 motherboard which has minimal effect on gaming :)

It depends on what games you're looking to play. I would suggest if you can spend a little extra going for a CPU like the i5-2400 as it's newer and will perform much better! :)

Im running a 750ti through displayport to my gsync monitor at 144 hz at 1080 and it does the job fine. for an old card its still a goody.

GDDR5 is not the lastest graphics processing unit video memory type. The GTX 1080, GTX 1080ti and GTX Titan X (p) all use GDDR5X video memory. This is currently the supreme video memory.

750ti is a good card it can do 1080p gaming I can run 4k csgo high setting 77fps avg gta5 can run 1080p medium to high but 2 gb limit so I can't go higher it's not a 720p card

Yes, seeing your post is more recent, and the 750ti still has good ratings these days. However, there's a tsunami of high prices on GPUs these days and I'm gonna buy a system but run on integrated graphics on a low setting game until prices come down. Or not buy the computer: just hold off.

Not really.. I have a 750ti and this card is definitely showing its age. I won't be surprised if next year the card wont' be able to maintain 30fps on newer games. Even some indie titles struggle with the 750ti. Its great if you can get it for $50 but thats the only time I'd recommend anyone buy this over saving for a 1050. I've owned one since they came out, I have plenty experience with the card.

YES, i think it is still worth buying. Basically, it is just slightly slower than RX 460 in dx11 games. However, in dx12 games, the RX 460 crushes GTX 750ti

i just ordered a second hand 750ti to upgrade from my 9500gt the cpu is g620 and 4gb ram i dont have high expectations, i just want to be able to play older games with stable 60fps, so if i could run stuff like gta5 even on the lowest in 720p with 30-40fps i guess i'd be happy. currently gta5 runs horribly on that 9500gt with every single setting lowered as much as possible in 800x600 and resolution scaled down. it's still hard to manage stable 30fps not to mention disappearing textures. i have plenty of games that i wanna try, but it just ain't fun when the game looks like crap and you can't even get to 30fps most of the time. stuff like nfs mw2012 or the crew which won't even launch. im not sure how much better q6600 is compared to g620, but i hope for some relatively good 720p performance

q6600 is a quad core from 2007-2008. was the best you could get then.

yeah my friend has one and he's also thinking about upgrading his very old radeon. he has similar performance to my 9500gt, a bit faster actually. we thought about getting him 750ti as well. i think it's a good idea, the card has reasonable price and actually we could later compare our performances as we would have the same amount of ram, the same gpu and just different cpu's.

i can't really discuss about it, i have no knowledge about differences in ram version and speed. i just know that i have 2x2gb ddr3 1066mhz, but can't really tell how much faster it is than ddr2. i was wondering though, if upgrading to i3 2100/2120 or maybe even 3220 (my mobo will support it if i install the proper version of bios) would give me any actual performance boost once i get my hands on the 750ti. i could also switch 2x2 gb to 2x4 gb ram, but i think it won't get me much difference. im just thinking if upgrading anything else than my gpu is worth it. my mobo wont support pcie 3.0 so i know i won't be able to get 100% out of my new card anyway, but 95 or so.

Be careful buying a rx 560, make sure it has 1024 shaders and isn't the rebadged rx 460 with 800 something shaders. And also watch out for BS 750 tis on ebay, they are other cheaper cards with a phony bios and 1gb vram.

Keep it, is good for that price still. Once it get more than 80 or 90 $ there is when is not worthy anymore, simply becouse for that money you can find other alternatives both used and new. For example the GTX 1050 or Rx 460 both on price range from 105 $ to 120 depending on model and manufacturer. But for $70 a GTX 750ti 2GB is a good buy, if you already have it you should keep it an enjoy it for the next 1 or 2 years before thinking on another upgrade.
