Thanks for the video. While I don't have a F150, some of these principles and features still apply for my Focus ST. I find it surprising that outside of their own videos or sponsored products videos, there are not very many videos about these fog lights. Same with how there's no videos for the Hella 500LEDs I'm getting too.

Its not always going to be the solenoid itself Could be the lines, the charcoal canoster, could even be the senser above the fuel tank or electrical issues going to the solenoid. I am dealing with trying to find the issue and is very not fun.

I had an '01 IS300 and currently a '16 IS300 AWD. The inline simply sounds far better than Vs. The 3.5 sounds lumpier and less "six-like" - am pondering leaving it stock, as crappy as that is. Maybe a 6-2-1 would make it sound better?

So if the o-ring is the culprit, why are you replacing the y pipe? Mine is leaking from what appears to be the o-ring side. Why would I not just replace that part and call it a day?
@AutoHeadz13 күн бұрын
You definitely could do that if you are 100% sure it’s the O ring and not the Y Pipe. Because both are prone to failure I think most people decide to change both out at the same time to eliminate any chance of future leaks. I would hate to do the whole install, take everything apart, drain the system, fill the system, and find out a week later it was the Y Pipe and my drive way is covered in 40 coolant. For the extra 5 minutes and 40 dollars for the Y pipe I think it’s worth it.
@KoolMada13 күн бұрын
@ how much coolant did you drain? I ordered two gallons and actually I did order the y pipe after all. Did you reuse some of what you drained out?
@AutoHeadz13 күн бұрын
@KoolMada I think I drained about a gallon. I used all new coolant. Ford came out with a new coolant that seems to perform better. I mentioned it briefly in the video. Works great.

I appreciate your video; it helped me in my installation. I opted to install the LAplus line because of the ability to align once installed; not every housing is 100% machined exactly the same, right? I had some issues with collars and aligning, but finally got them installed. I think my passenger side is a bit high, so I’ll need to adjust it down. I aligned the LEDs to the 3 and 9 position and decided to put the pigtail down making the cutout face up, reflecting the light up. I will say that in this configuration, the pattern does NOT look good at all. I’m going to ensure the bulbs are seated correctly and rotate them 180 degrees to see if it helps. I’ll let you know, but I’m beginning to think your orientation is correct.
@markybee19729 күн бұрын
FYI, 2021 XLT Supercrew. So, I rotated the lamps 180 degrees so that the notch faces down and did not see any improvement in the beam pattern, looked pretty much the same. I put them back w/ the notch facing up at 12 o’clock and pigtail going down at 6 o’clock. What I did find out was that my passenger low beam led bulb was not fully seated. Once I pushed it all the way in and re-aligned and re-aimed, the beam actually looks fantastic. Extremely happy.

Warning the Dorman Oring fits, but it’s a tight fit and fight to push it on, probably better for it. I have the Dorman metal y pipe gonna wait until I have all assessory components and do an overhaul
@AutoHeadz14 күн бұрын
⚠️WARNING⚠️ For anyone reading this. Please please please! Use OEM brand O Ring and Y Pipe. Dorman brand has been known to fail and fail QUICK! Iv heard this from several people that have used it as well as on authentic Amazon reviews. The OEM in the link has been upgraded by Ford to last. OEM brands are in video description and first comment or go to your ford dealership.

My install worked beautifully! Thank you so much for your time and effort on your instructions. One question though, where do you put all the excess wire for the new market lights that come with the new grill? I kinda shoved them into the small opening in the shroud on the left. Leaving the one connector in the other hole on the shroud to the right. Did you cover or rewrap any of those wires. Just hoping when I close the hood it doesn’t crush anything. The middle connector is kinda sitting on top of the shroud. Thx man! Greatly appreciate you! 👏🏽 🏆 🔧

I did the same thing. I just zip tied it all together first. Just make sure you put them in a spot that is t next to any moving pieces.
