you realise you've completely overlooked that he could be a masking INTP. INTPs have this thing where they present a certain way in public because they feel the tribe wont accept them for who they are in private. Like a YT channel he monetises, let's say. INTPs when speaking can sound a lot like ISTPs because they both share Ti Dom - Fe Inf. Especially in their blunt and dry humour. INTPs aren't all magic the gathering propeller heads, and ISTPs aren't all deisel mechanics. People need to stop typing people via sterotypes. Also you want vary the sources and surrounding circumstances when using interviews or YT monolgues to type people.

Controversial opinion: I dont think INFJ or ESFP are the most naturally talented type. I actually think INTJ is the most
@mkingISTP6 күн бұрын
Well INTJs tend to be good at playing instruments for some reason. Like piano, guitar, stuff like that theres a lot of INTJs naturally good at it. Also im a music producer and a lot of producers tend to be INTJs and they are usually good. Maybe one of the best producers. But man ESFPs are like a force of nature. Maybe you haven’t met enough but Se makes it so most things you try you can be good at it as long as it’s physical things

@mkingISTP physical sure but that's where it stops with ESFPs, I think ISxPs are more talented than them usually

I will have to agree that we don't really "sell" ourselves and our capabilities very well, usually it is others that do it for us, far better than we could ever do it. @t-man519616 күн бұрын
@mkingISTP could be, I just find that the main difference between Te doms and Te inferiors in terms of judgmentalness is that Te doms are more likely to voice their judgements aloud while Te inferiors tend to hold their judgments inside but often I find they are much more ruthless with their judgments when they actually voice them. I theorize that this could be possibly due to them actually being more judgmental and so they compensate by trying to give an impression of tolerance/humility etc.

@mkingISTP can you make a video about how you've understood Fe? You can even write your observations into types of Fe use, skilled, clumsy, healthy and unhealthy, its limits, how it can be understood or misunderstood by other types/functions. All the functions really. I'm sure you've seen a lot. This ISTP told Joyce Meng he experiences it as "ninja mind games" 🤣, and my girlfriend experiences me describing Feelers as calculating when I'm just translating even subconscious intentions and adapting reactions into tactics and strategies, without bad intent, just seeing their effectiveness. I think this is something those with the inferior can see easily, how that function succeeds and fails in life, not just in their use. The more you struggle with it you understand it deeper cause you see what makes it go well if you'd mess up the area you naturally do well with, be incorrect and sacrifice the purity of an understanding for what others can receive, in the moment even.

From my experience ESFPs (I have a lot of them in my life) can be very dangerous. Their main tactics is playing stupid while having a lot of planned possible outcomes of things you wouldn't even expect. Or maybe it is not planning but when they confront someone they definitely do seem like they thought everything through and can be very well spoken. They suddenly turn into some kind of NTJ but give more vibes of INTJ. My father who is ESFP and breeds horses, has a bad habit of renting his horses to people without setting the price, without setting the deadline when the horse is coming back etc. so people often use this to their advantage and for example they rent his horse to other people for a higher price etc. Once he gave a pregnant mare to a girl and didn't tell her that she was pregnant. The mare birth the foal and the girl didn't say anything to my father AND she found someone to buy the foal as if it was hers 🫠. My father found out, he called her and told her he gave her this mare to test her because he suspected she might do this and that he could have called the police and she would definitely be judged for stealing but he knows she doesnt want troubles so he made her some kind of an offer which I dont remember but in the end she was humiliated in front of the most of our local society of horse people, thankful to my father he didnt report her to the police and training the foal at her own expense. Btw I think he didn't know himself that the mare was pregnant, just someone called him and said "Hey my friends are buying this foal from a mare which looks like one of yours, what's up?"

I studied the MBTI and Cognitive Functions for 10 years (it was my passion project!) and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a Sensor (and I say this as an INFP)! I love Sensors and love being around them! (One of my best friends is an ESTP!) Intuitives NEED Sensors. My dad is an ISFJ and I literally don't know what I would do without his practical guidance and steadfast support. Sensors are not 'dumber' or 'less cool' than Intuitives. We each offer something so unique. I think there are just so many mistyped and unhealthy people on the internet and especially Intuitives with a lot of pride and arrogance in their type that are insecure around Sensors. I've seen Sensors generally move through life with a lot of ease, grace, and confidence which I think is easy for us over-thinking Intutives to admire (and envy), but I've also seen Sensors cry, struggle, and beg for something more just like we all do. I think Intutives also suffer from being pseudo-intellectuals. So it's easier to pick on and make fun of Sensors for being 'shallow' and unable to get on an Intuitive's 'level'...when that isn't even true lol. I've seen such shallow stereotypes of Sensors (like ESTPs are always crazy, ESFJs are always baking, ISTJs are always unfeeling, etc) when these types have so much more depth and dynamic. ESTPs are actually extremely laid back when they're not in the spotlight or have something going on (I often say ESTPs have a Ti 'light switch' that they can turn on and off. I find that they're mostly using Ti unless a situation really calls for their Se to come out)! ESTPs are often honest, motivated, rational, and listen very closely to others when they're speaking. I have had the most fascinating, in-depth conversations with ESTPs like the idea that ESTPs are just hyper red-bull chugging meatheads is crazy. I'd say ESFPs are usually the ones who are always 'on' in terms of leaning towards that constant energy and outgoingness but ESTPs somehow got this reputation too when in my experience they're so laid back (in their natural environment). They're not constantly running around jumping off walls and trying to break stuff lol ESFJs too are often paraded as 'constantly people pleasing' when healthy ESFJs are often setting boundaries and are clear about their limits and schedules. They are some of my favorite people to be around. They are patient, encouraging, pull out value from others, professional, and organized. They have a work mode and an off-work mode that I love like ESFJs can get really serious and down to business but also give you the best emotional insight - that's something else no one talks about! ESFJs are extremely emotionally intelligent! Almost sometimes I think in rival to my type! They truly understand the human emotional condition SO well. And I absolutely hate the stereotype that ISTJs are always serious, cold and unfeeling. I know an ISTJ who's married and he couldn't be more romantic, doting and hilarious. He literally cracks me up. The humor of an ISTJ is so brutal and dry and uncompromising. He loves to laugh and has so many unique quirks - like ISTJs are really passionate about their hobbies and plans and that's something people constantly fail to mention about them is how much passion they can have. ISTJs are also really good feelers! (Fi is their third function!) ISTJs are so kind and caring and respectful to those they love. They're loyal too, like once they see you as a friend and you've earned their respect, they hold on to you and hold you accountable too! Anyway, forgive the ramble. I think there is this terrible misrepresentation that Sensors are incapable of depth or complex thought. They're not incapable of indulging in it, it just isn't always their 'favorite' thing to do. Like I have an INTP friend and we could talk for hours about absolute theoretical nonsense because it's something we love to do, but my dad (having inferior Ne) also genuinely loves to engage and listen to me when I talk about theoretical stuff and even offers his own. He doesn't do this often and talking to him is WAY different than talking to an intuitive, but Sensors are capable of so much insight and depth and knowledge that I think Intuitives might overlook. Sensors are plugged into the world while us Intuitives are always trying to edit or escape it. But there are so many things I admire about the Sensors and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being one! You should be so proud! I am so glad you posted this to hopefully encourage other Sensors too! As an Intuitive, I am so appreciative of you!
@mkingISTPАй бұрын
Thanks so much for your input on this. Great coming from an intuitive and yes. ESFJs , ESTPs, and ISTJs sometimes get weird stereotypes as well as other sensing types. Also your dynamic with estps sounds similar with how I am with ENFPs. My brother is also an ISTJ and when they show their Ne side they are surprisingly funny and witty with their Te when it comes to jokes. And yes estps have a really laid back side and they are some of the best at reading people. And ESFJs are some of the easiest people to get along with for most people when they are healthy. They know how to be pleasant to be around. Stay tuned for more
